My brother agreed to teach me how to play guitar... BUT he's a very busy guy. I bought a used guitar and he gave me a book to learn some basics. Anyone else got some helpful hints for someone kinda teaching themselves the basics?

Well, lets see...

"Do like I do...I bought 2 new guitars (1 electric and 1 elc-acoustic) and they are still in the box they came in!

It has been that way for 2 years, and I'm here to tell you... I haven't learned a damn thing!

Soooo confusing!

Good luck, and pass on any tips you may have, right back at me!

Maybe one day...we'll go on the road together!

Why would you buy new guitars and never use them?! I started teaching myself how to play a while ago... then moved and haven't picked it up since. But, I will change that soon.

At the time I bought both guitars, I had "BIG" plans to learn to play overnight, pick up a gig within a week, cut an album in a months time, and be the "Stevie Ray Vaughn play-a-like" for fame and fortune!

But, I know the first step is to take them out of the shipping box!

I'm working on it....just having to build up steam now...but watch out when I get that steam... You got to realize, at my age...steam don't come along as fast as it used to...but I'm working on it.

"I know I can, I know I can, I know I can, wooohooo (building steam) I know I can, yes I can, yes I can....chooooochooooo!"

Yep...I got me a seat in the front row.

My son had his work profile on there, so I decided to get me a listing as well.

By not telling that I have a college degree or 15yrs of job experience.

It seems like they like people who are inexperienced and doesn't hold a college degree. I kid you not, I got more responses after "lying" about my school and jobs.

If they figure out that you lied, then they may figure that if you lie about that..."what else would you lie about"!

Best policy, is to shoot straight...then you don't have to make excuses for the lies.

if a guy has to ASK me for sex, he sure as heck wouldn't be a guy i'd ever be interested in having sex with.

that's kind of immature and begging-sounding to me.

give me a confident one that knows how to get his way.

And would pink suit you for the new Ferrari?

Your right to post this, thank you for the read.

Even a 5th grader could see the wrong on every level of this!

I am inclined to claim that the STUPID government people are not "Smarter Than A 5th Grader"!

And this is what we have as our leaders.

Just goes to show...to be in politics, all you need is an IQ of 12 or less!!

My only comment is that "You Get What You Pay For"!

Immaturity does have it's price.

Good luck with your "baby sitting" (sorry, I just had to add that) and hope you figure your situation out.

hate blue cheese?

I prefer the yellow or yellowish colored cheese.

If it turns blue, I throw it out!
