Only think I liked about the north(peoria IL) where I used to live was
the dirt bike trails we rode our bikes on and the snow. Our snow hill
was large and fairly steep. We would pile the snow up and make a ramp to
jump the creek so that we could slide on the long flat on the other side
of the creek instead of ditching the sled before taking a bath in the
creek. I will never forget one early day in spring the snow was melt and
we went for a final sledding trip. The ramp gave way as I hit it and I
landed in the creek. I about froze to death before reaching my best
friends house. I am sure I would not have made it home as I was already
turned blue just getting to his house.

I did the count down thing after the first time of quitting cold turkey
and getting in a fight for something stupid. I really hurt the guy and
the 3 friends that tried their best to get me away from him. One of the
friends lit a smoke and put it in my mouth. I was smoking 2 packs a day
and tried to quit cold turkey. So the first week I forced myself to not
get any more than one pack. The next week I took it down to 1/2 pack
which did not work out to well(with draws so bad I had a few over) so I
extented it another week. Then it was down to 4 a day and this is when I
took to chewing on tooth picks. After a week of 3-4 a day I quit.

I still puff on cigars from time to time. Not very often but I found
myself smoking a couple this weekend with all the stress the ex put me
through. That is the bad thing. I used them to calm me down instead of
just enjoying the flavor. I normally smoke a cigar about once every 2-3
months. I do not smoke in the house or around my kids.

I did not have a pic and got no where on here with most people even
though I made a few friends on the forum for me being me. My photo which
is not very good made a big difference. I do not care if you put a
picture up or not. I want to know who you are and not what you look
like. I truely believe I could love the ugliest woman on the planet and
she would be beautiful to me. Just let yourself shine.

Along with this topic before was just needing something to show who you
are. Like Ghostrecon has his cats with guns or horns. We got to know him
and his pics. So I do believe some form of picture expressing who you
are is better than no pic.

Katt said;
** If that lawyer was worth his salt, he will have made a copy of the
agreement and will have it on file in his office. If he was a truly
competent attorney, he will have had the document notarized and filed it
with your county. Check with the lawyer.

It was done through a legal advice lawyer. Nothing was filed but we
were told it was binding as we had a third party sign it. Now that my
copy is gone and the third party refuses to take sides it was all for
nothing. Make extra copies of all documents and spread them around. She
took my copy.

No we had not filed. I have no income so could not hire a lawyer. She
was not paying any child support and was not working much of the time
since we split up. So she had no money for lawyer. Her father borrowed
the money for her to file from my understanding through the grape vine.
Her lawyer must have advised her to get the kids and all items she
wanted in her custody and told her some other things to do. One of the
reasons I did not push harder for a divorce earlier as my father could
have cashed out his CD was we were getting along and the marriage
counsilor we had before told us to be nice to each other for the kids
sake if we got divorced.

yes you can chew gum once you have a perment filling. The temperary
ones can come out. But what I think you are speaking of would be the
perment type. I got several of the perment ones and I had a temperary
for a few days once as when the dentist drilled the tooth he found
infection in it and had to quit working on it.

Pogo is world wide. I have chatted with people from England, Germany,
Japan, Austraila, the philipines and probly many more. So just about all
screen names are taken in some form. A few like myself have 2 screen
names there. I rarely use the other one. But if you get a troll bugging
you you can sign out and back in and enjoy your time there again.
Millionbeets is my other name there. It was a typo as it was suppose to
be millionbees. I have no idea how I got the T in it. But thank goodness
I told it to save screen name. I did not notice it until someone asked
if I was a beet farmer or a drummer.

TXgal, That was our plan but more of the stuff was concidered kids
property. Due to my back injury we did not have much left of any value.
The 3 things the ex took that pissed me off was the lock box, dvd/vcr
combo still in box(purchased Tues took on friday), and my $100 in cash I
had in my drawer set aside for rent. Her taking her couch which I told
her had to be moved on Thursday as I got another one and chair given to
me, and her taking the kids stuff was not the issue as she took the
kids. She took some food items as well but that could be argued it was
for the children. We had divided everything already on paper even though
she had not moved alot of her stuff out. I still have her corner shelf
unit sitting here full of figurines and her 2 stuffed rabbits(kind of in
hopes she reads this line). I think she ran out of time or space in the
Uhaul as there are many other items which I thought she would have took
including this computer.

name there years ago. So I am honeyrobber72 on pogo.

So far so good Shadow. Just a long day here of picking up the mess the
ex left behind. If only I can pick up the pieces of my heart from
missing my kids.

We had a writen agreement which was signed and no court papers. The
lawyer we had talked to(as we agreed to keep things civil and work out
the issues ourselves) said it would hold up in court. Even the county
officers said it would hold up but it was one of the things she took
from my home. So all important papers need a person you trust to hold a
copy.

Women to have it easier than men according to the law. Sorry ladies but
it is the truth. My ex had a nervous break down about 2 1/2 years ago.
When she snapped she started punching me in my lower back where I had
back surgery and where there is still alot of nerve damage. I got turned
around and pushed with both hands on her chest. She ended up falling and
bruising her knee. I spend the night in jail and in court the settlement
was we both had to attend counciling and anger management. Yet I am the
only one with a record of violence as the law refused to let me press
charges on her.

As to what happened to me, yes, both sexes do it. The girl I am seeing
now went to her mom's one day and came back to find an empty apartment.
It is not right for either sex to do it. My problem was I did not take
my brother's advice and go cut throat from the beginning. I wanted to be
a nicer person than he has been to his exs. Also the childrens mother
laid everything out in a writen agreement. It was all settled except the
child support. We even had visitation drawn up for each holiday and
birthday. So what she did was to get out of that agreement as she later
did not like a clause I put into the agreement about no
girlfriends/boyfriends aloud to be around the children until marriage. I
realize now it was miss worded but this was part of the agreement we
drew up about 2 years before she left this time when we talked about
divorcing. With the ex being with a lesbian there was no way for her to
marry and therefore no way she could keep the kids at her home. How the
clause is miss worded is it does not allow the boy/girlfriend to meet
and spend time with the kids before marriage to see if they can get
along. It needs to be worded more about the boy/girlfriend spending the
night and no sexual relations with them while kids are present. But with
the ex being a lesbian this would still be against her.

This was all such a shock is what is so bad about it. 2 weeks ago the
ex's girlfriends car broke down in Nashville(75 miles one way). They
could not get anyone to come get them and they had less than $20 between
them. I went and got them and took them home. I did alot of other things
over the last few months to help her even though I was not getting help
with the kids. Thursday while my daughter was having surgery the ex and
I talked about her staying here with the kids Saturday night as I had a
date planned. We set up a time for her to come see the kids on Friday
and she said we would talk more about Saturday. She acted so cool and
friendly like normal. I did not make a scene about her girlfriend being
there or anything to upset her. From the things that were done I know
she had been planning this for sometime.

This is hard to do. I can not say much as she has joined this site. I
have had to change several items. It is hard to be so vague about things
that have happened and what you know. Another rule of divorce KEEP YOUR
MOUTH SHUT!.

So for those starting this process or those getting married for the
first time. Strike quickly(file first if possible) and hard but yet do
not strip the house of belongings(you must leave the other person items
to live with or it goes against you in court). Keep quiet and try to
keep all loud mouths in your family from knowing anything(my mother will
not lie and does not know how to say I can't tell you). The ex has
simular people and that is how I already know alot of things I a sure
she did not want me to know. The next rule is hard to grasp for many. Be
overly kind to your ex. My brother had to pay the utilities where his
wife was living(their house) for 6 months as the trailer was in her mom
and dad's name he had to move out with the kids. I have went out of my
way to do things for the ex. Like the example above where their car
broke down. That will help me when we go to court as it shows no ill
will on my part toward her.

Computer is being took down and moved today.

BTW ex if you do read this thanks for leaving the files on the
computer. You may have gotten the lock box with the files saved to disc
but you left all I needed.

My ex took the kids and broke into my house on Friday to get the kids
beds and everything else she wanted from the house. So I will not be on
much if any for a while. The computer was one of the things she left,
but I am moving out thanks to her damaging the home so I am being
evicted. Wish me luck.

I am a member of pogo.com. The friends list is for all that join and
not just the club pogo. It is where I try to get people to go and chat.
One lady from here joined me for chess and backgammon. Backgammon is
better for chatting and playing as requires less thought, LOL. The
different types of slots are great chat rooms for groups of people. I
even suggested once before that all of us from here set a time and meet
up there but nothing became of it. Sci Fi slots is where I normally go
when looking for a group chat. Then table games like chess for one on
one chat. You can even make the tables private so no one pops up as a
watcher and stuff to bug ya.

I tried cold turkey and nearly killed someone, literly. So I went back
to smoking for a time. Then I counted the smokes and weaned myself off
them. If you can not get smokes at work it helps. A straw/tooth pick/gum
to have in your mouth does help many and when I was nearly done with
weaning myself off the nicotine part of the process I used tooth picks.
Weaning yourself off them is the hardest way to quit. But the patches
are available readily now days for you to get your nicotine so you do
not hurt yourself or someone during the withdrawal. So all you have to
do is want to quit and find something to break the habit of motion.

I think it is true and the one done in 2000 by the school of public
health is also true. I believe the real answer is in the amount of
alcohol that is drank. I can not stand to be around drunks(to the point
they can not function). Alcohol though does loosen people up so they
speak more openly. Those who control the amount of alcohol they drink
yet drink regularly are way more social than non-drinkers or drunks. The
think tank study is more believeable than the health groups because they
normally do not have a set agenda. The health group was looking to find
proof of their ideas that drinking any and all alcohol needs to stop. So
for their study they looked for those who where drinking more frequently
and more volume of alcohol to prove their point. The think tank group
used a more neutral system where a light drinker like myself and those
who drink more often yet still socially(not drunks) do tend to make more
money.

There is just some fine lines which are hard to address. Like I drink a
wine cooler or mixed drink about once every 2 weeks. Most of the time I
stop drinking after a couple rounds. I find that being a light drinker
that I am not against drinking so I do not aleinate myself from
drinkers. Being a light drinker I do not alienate as many of the
non-drinkers or even the drunks. Those that drink more often than me yet
keep the volume of alcohol down would have more social contact than I do
and yet still have the respect of non-drinkers and those that drink
heavier.

Paterafan, I am glad you found someone. You ever need someone to talk
to just email me. You and I do not click for a romantic relationship but
I know how to be a good listener and friend. This goes for all of yall.
We never have to many friends.

People without any disabilities think dating is hard. If they only knew
what we went through. I am a single father of 4 and may get my
disability as I have reapplied for it and then get $900 a month to
support my family with. And if I do find someone and marry them and they
make more than $20K a year I loose my disability check as the goverment
says your spouse can keep you up. So in a way it is like I will never
have anything but love if I find it. The only good news is if I get it
my kids will get grants to go to college or trade schools. People
especially women want security from a mate and that is something I can
not give anymore.

Good one king. If only I knew where my head lamps were. I used to use
them for riding horses at night and coon hunting. Just a walking dead
miner sounds good.

I took it more like King did. I did not ask to fall down some step and
become disabled. Now if I got hurt like this from breaking horses you
could say I asked for it as getting hurt is part of that job and I have
a few scars from it. So this burden was not of my own making. If I could
choose my death it would be to go out quickly like a car accident or a
bullet between the eyes. I have watched to many loved ones die slowly
and wish that on no one.

I love halloween. I normally dress up but nothing fancy and take the
kids trick or treating. I have been trying to think of something I can
throw together for this year. As of right now I am thinking about doing
a cowboy vampire. Dressed in my black jeans, black western shirt and
black stetson hat. Then a bit of make up and fake blood. I am not into
store purchased costumes.
