The Tendency Exists ( I Gather Leaves Upon my Breast )

The tendency exists here in this life, to apportion me my only meaningful emotion,
In the notion that all solemn poets were born to dance in the wilderness,
I pick up my feet and dance on leaves, on a forest floor, stirred by this commotion,
bred of my need to echo and to thus share in this cool sense of my worthiness,

The forest thick grows loud with the remaining songs of day - at it's closing,
And as the graying darkness fills the inner body of this natural wealth,
I stand here alone with my friends the trees - in a world now so much more imposing,
Reaching out to the Gods of Night, crying out in prayer, for their strength and their stealth,

The blanketing darkness surrounds me now, near the fire I've struck, in the bold of night,
Silence creeps across me here, where the landscape pierces me, pounding in my ears,
Telling me I must now endure it's unending meanings, beyond fear, beyond sight,
To accept my apportionment spread widely across the more voluminous of my years.

So then must I gather leaves upon my breast, lay downward upon the ground - and rest.

Where Night Meets The Day

Where we see night meets day, and the sun and the moon,
In a most holy trinity, the absolute 'unity of three',
A land of floral promise exists formed as if hand-hewn,
In a exquisite presence, a most holy light pronouncing thee,

Where worn pathways, ancient, forged, improvised,
Inside churchyards at rest with their ancient gardens,
Find artful semblance shown magnificent in medieval guise,
As if cut out by hand in stone, cobbled, hardened,

There, among men in the cool, solemn semblance of their time,
Molded of bread and stone, and of the earth and of the sea,
Go I who must endeavor toward graceful, lasting, meaningful rhyme,
Ever seeking, ever searching for that - that is the true body of me.

bastet, Ladywind,

Thank ye both so very much. I had a 7 day visit here in Ireland from a friend over in the states. We traveled to where my ancestors are buried and we both went through my family ancestry. My friend was pleased and very much enjoyed her stay. I took many photos over this period.

If this picture problem is solved with Photobucket I should like to share some of them here. An old hilltop village in ruins is shown in this picture set. I have an ancestor who was, back in 1166 (AD) when he died, the catholic Bishop who oversaw the area below this hilltop. A lot of history to be had here.

Again, thank ye both very, very much.

Forever In Your Presence

My whispers can be heard from inside the dark, damp halls of the ancients,
While outside, across the green, the graveyard's old wrought iron gates,
Can be seen to be made inward by the mystery sucking of the dead,

Forever the impassioned - in the presence of a most fashionable, natural flow,
Given to your warm rain remaining across a summer's setting, endless glow,
In those memories gathered here where memories are so often lost,
I find I give of this body of my sanctity toward all - at all cost,

And these gifts of your dreams represent your most fond and endless sharing,
Finding me here and comforted, embracing your innermost, deepest caring.

I bid ye rest well, grandmother Bridget.

I, too, am having the exact same problem posting Photobucket pics to a Mingle2 forum. Your problem is my exact problem. I've been talking to Danny at Photobucket, he's on the staff there. He's trying to figure out what the problem is, but he can't seem to pinpoint it.

I just wanted ye to know I'm experiencing the same exact problem. It doesn't seem to be Photobucket - so far. Please get back with me if ye find a solution. I shall do the same with you. Here's a link to my latest failure/effort . . .

Be well,

PS: At your Mingle2 page I notice your requesting to hear from 'thin' girls. I had to laugh for a moment after I agreed with your intent. I realized thin girls for some reason always appear to be non-existent in these dating sites, or at the least very, very rare. Always, predominantly, the heavy set. And Mingle2 is no different. Well, that's my take on things. So far Mingle2 is the best dating site I've visited and joined. And the staff are very helpful. Hope they can resolve this problem of pics not showing up in their forums.

Mike,

Sorry your codes aren't working for me - at all. I've commented to ye already about this coding problem. Am attempting to post poem pics uploaded to Photobucket inside your Poetry and Creative Writing forum - which used to work fine up until recently. Now every time I try I get the failure error message. See . . .

Godis_,

Thanks, I've re-read this piece and find it for the most part acceptable. I find it reads well enough to be here and shared. It does not lack.

Thank ye again for your kindness,

I Am Inside The Rain

The rain with it's darkness found wanting, heavy, constant and wet,
Houses us hidden away, in cold hallways, behind alleys - inside doors of lesser propriety,
Where we crouch in our own gathering puddles like children afraid, trying our best to forget,
Where it was we found our wintertime fears, warmed here, in the mainstream of society,

Rain, rain fall where ye will, down across the leaves and trees upon the hill, where an ocean cries,
I am the lesser rainbow in a vast blue, lost, last horizon beyond the enchanting sea,
Free to shift, and spread across stolen skies, where true gripping visual beauty lies,
Free to echo burdensome calls, crying out in my silence beckoning ye - to me,

I am the rain in the feathered, ancient forest storm, reaching out to ye crying out to be reborn.
