On Death Most Restful

There're rare sacred spectacles of beauty can be found,
Where angels protect all that is earth and bone,
Sleeping beyond the mist in consecrated ground,
At rest and at peace - below chiseled stone,

And grandest are the elements of a forever expressed,
By those made to sleep longest, and lie lowest,
For, for all their wanting they shall remain at loving rest,
Where it is inevitable their time shall run slowest,

( Forever then, let our warmth be with those below us. )

Yes, Mo, thank ye for your message in reply. Hopefully Photobucket can work out it's problems. As I've already said I'm in touch with them via email and their working on it. What a mess eh? By the way, I visited 'settings' and did as ye suggested. Yes, in ' Albums ' that button is ticked. Is/was set up correctly.

Thank you for your instructions, Mo. I appreciate them very much.

My Irish Beauty, My Gael

I can be found walking these Dublin streets alone with my parchment portfolio and pen in tow,
Along the coarser pavement toward my old familiar vest pocket,
A rich green mini park I know, hidden near an old gray tenement row,
Where your memories, your pictures and your dreams seem housed, sealed, as if in a locket,

You're divine Spirit breaths deeper, my Gael, brighter than any a most expansive Sun,
Aye, beyond all ye bless, beyond that of a distant, ancient Gaelic shore,
Beyond all your meaningful magical chants, and, your loftier tales spun,
Beyond all that remains of your memory and those dreams which I do so adore,

My Irish beauty, my Gael, know that I hold tightly to the essences of your dreams,
Formed in this, your moving and ever graceful, floral renaissance,
Bred of newly cast verse cast out beyond your harsher less subtle themes,
Those momentous paths beyond the 'morrow denied me in your chilling nonchalance,

( For I, like you, am the simple master of my own hidden, inner kingdom, bathed in bon vivance. )

By the way, I have contacted Photobucket and am awaiting a reply as to why my poem graphics are no longer showing up in this forum. The error seems to be on their end. By 'error' I mean the below Photobucket message each time I now attempt to add a poem graphic in here . . .

Again, this problem is a Photobucket error and not on the part of this forum, or Mingle2. And I have Not removed or deleted my 'add-on' images from Photobucket, so the problem is clearly on their end. The ball's in their corner now.

Thanks again, forum dwellers, for all this back and forth,

Foursure,

Thank ye so very much. I know this poetic thrust seems a bit lengthy, to the point of thick - and with broader essences of overplay, but I did assemble these words with solemn reverence and held them tightly in embodying my own version of fashionable intent. So that, in the end, Foursure, I was pleased with it's finality - unlike so many others I've been tossing about.

Thank ye again, Sugar,

I Am The True Founder

I am the true founder, sounder of my own self styled poetic intent,
And I have issued forth in rare cadence these, my visual, simple written words,
Constructed at times with arrogance - meant to find vent, and then too, to repent,
Against the advent of the coming of the clashing of the swords,

Yellow fields rich with barley, meadows beyond shadow, beyond incalculable night,
Fields found formed in the mists, in the midst of freedom's ancient call,
These rare dreamscapes find our newly opened eyes - opened beyond sight,
Where it is we, the living, hold dreams of wisdom and beauty - for all.

And so, that I might, in night, continue to write - that which ancient players would sing,
I announce to ye now, these Raven's claws, and these Raven's wings are to me . . . everything.

( I ask ye one and all, can ye do what I do? Can ye let freedom ring? )

My Solemn Ghost

I am perched head long on a precipice in the direction of you, my solemn ghost,
But like calling down into a canyon, I just hear me calling back in despair,
There's no sanctifying calm, nor the whispering of hints I've needed most,
No hearing your voice calling back to me from there - or from anywhere,

Ye used to capture the cries and those wailings of your newly collected,
Those few rare elected, found within the moments of your breathing,
But now you exist without us, denying we, the directly connected,
Who are here and found hungering, like a child left teething,

O my solemn ghost, where doth lay the essences of your breathing?

Mo,

Thank ye dear. Yep, it was all of that. May I say before I came over here to Ireland in 2007 and gained my full citizenship, during a brief period in my life, ( during my growing up, 'Seal-Pup' years, ) I made friends with a wild mockingbird who had one wing down. I did a bit of research back then and found out that mockingbirds would at times feign a 'wing down' as a means of protection against other combatants in flight. Anyway Mo, this mockingbird would land on a wire outside my small living space and we would communicate as I sat on my cement stoop with coffee in hand. It was always in the early mornings. He/she always had a wing down up on the wire. So I knew this wasn't it's act of feigning. It simply had a past injured wing. Well, we got to know each other quite well over the couple of years I lived there, and, I still think of it with fondness, even over here in Ireland.

Thanks again, Mo,

tommo / Ireland, ( Resounds. )

Pierce Heavenly Light

Broken winged, I have been with this one element, this wing clearly down,
And I have seen that flight for me has always been less than free,
For my general occupation has been to exist beyond this injuring frown,
And to rest tallest, most fashionably upon life's living, loving tree,

And as the mockingbird heralds each new day with boisterous call,
Shrill, it attacks the calmness in the chill of moving morning,
And little compares to it's flight across the eventful sprawl,
Of a world of fast paced others, below found shouting, scorning,

O' this broken wing, how I wish it would find it's needed repair,
Free me to fly high again into my holy midnight, this important flight,
And steal me safely away once again, high up in the air,
So that I may once more have the means to pierce heavenly light.

( O' how breathtaking this thing, this gift of flight. )
