What is a good way to invite a woman you met online on a first date? What is a good activity? Is dinner the standard operating procedure?

I like a dinner for a first date. Lots of time and opportunity to talk and get to know each other. Movies don't let you talk much.....laugh

I'm thinking dinner is the way to go.

Now...casual or fancy? And by that I don't mean McDonalds vs. "Le Pepe", just what kind of atmosphere should the place have?

Do the meet and greet first.

Even a dinner seems like a long time if you really don't want to be there.

We have a bookstore here, live music on Sat. nights. Agree to meet for coffee, if its good, go listen to music. Since its in the basement of a book store its not so loud you have to yell at each other to be heard.

If its real good, have a place for dinner close by already picked out.
