Nine US soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan in clashes with Taleban militants. US commander Daniel Dwyer told the BBC the soldiers had been killed in clashes in the north-east of the country. The BBC's Martin Patience in Kabul says it is one of the biggest single losses in a day for the coalition since the start of military operations there. The attack came as international and Afghan security forces battled militants on several fronts. On Sunday, US forces said 40 insurgents had been killed in Helmand province in the past 24 hours.

Both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were orchestrated by the neo cons for their own agenda . Both are unjust , unfair ,and illegal . Both are against the poor , the weak and those who can not defend themselves . Both destroyed millions of innocent lives . Shame and disgrace to anyone who supports such a tyranny . Hey, just my opinion .

But I would die right now for a coffee with you, if you have the kettle on .. Those men go out there proud of what they do and aware of what might happen. We should not cry for them, but be proud for what they stood for and the fact that they are willing to make that sacrafice for us!

We should not cry for them, but be proud for what they stood for and the fact that they are willing to make that sacrafice for us! You go ahead and be proud. Wait until you have a son and he goes to a war that is illegal and when he comes home (if he comes home) you will not recognise him. Plus, they dont sacrifice anything for me. I didnt ask them to go and invade Afghanistan. You should bring them home. Pick a battle you can win, not a war you will lose

Our soldiers did not choose to go fight a war that was not ours but have to go where they are told to go. Yes they are dying for an unjust reason and they all should be sent home before another dies for an unjust cause.. a war that is not ours! I just started dating a wonderful man that is about to retire after 25 years in the Army and I would just die if he was sent over there to fight for something that is none of our business. Those animals will continue to kill one another long after our troops are pulled out!

After thought, at least Afghanistan is closer to bin laden. Osama is dead ... he died of kidney failure. I don't believe that at all. Bin laden is alive and well. And proud of what he done to us. He is also happy we are in Iraq as Iraq was no friend to him.
