...Frankly I cannot believe what I am seeing. The last ten or so days since Gov. Palin has been on the scene have been possibly the most nervous ten days I have had as an Obama supporter. Have you seen the new McCain Ad "Fact Check"?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK4oWay1VbE

Honestly seeing that Ad made me realize that the only wolves in this race are the ones McCain has let loose on Obama. First the choice of Palin rubs salt in Hillary wounds. Then confusion occurs because no one knows how to deal with her. Daily Kos helps Republicans play the liberal media victim card. Then Obama lays out the pig in lipstick line allowing McCain/Palin to play the sexism card... If this was boxing id be praying for the bell to ring! We are off balance and punching wildly at what we in the film biz call a McGuffin (look it up on wikipedia), and that McGuffin's name is Sarah Palin.

The Race is Not About Palin!

What my fellow Democrats and Obamanites need to understand is that McCain is playing for keeps. He is not pulling punches. There is no such thing as a clean campaign. People who run clean campaigns, loose campaigns.

That is not to say that we should resort to the lies of McCain/Palin but dammit, why haven’t I seen an Obama Ad with McCain saying over and over "I Don’t Understand the Economy"?? Where is the Ad of him saying, "Next stop Baghdad" before we even went to Afghanistan?? A day shouldn’t go by that McCain isn't slapped in the face with his own words.

Someone needs to take my man Obama to the political gym and help him work on his jab! The folks in battle ground states don’t vote against their economic interest because they are bitter. They vote for the guy who is going to kick some ass once in a while. With fifty days left I’d say its time McCain got his ass kicked

Do you agree? Or am I off the reservation?

We really haven't seen anything yet from the 527's. When they start running ads, that's when it is going to get interesting.

I think they are timing it...waiting until after the first debates.

The 527 are gonna be bad. I can see Rev. Wright-Gate, Bitter-Gate, Muslim-Gate, all coming back.

Thing is, if Obamas team isnt firing into McCain's weak sides. we have 4 more years of the witless protection agency that call them selves Republicans.

Yea, I did a 13 page essay in Political Science on the Presidential Race/history of it/Primary Candidates for this race and all their biz..
I found out so much stuff about all them with that research.
I had no idea Obama had a myspace ha! And apparently hillary did to, not sure if she kept it. But I got tallies on their friends n such. But my point-the republicans will be the first to admit they are behind the times when it comes to technology.
Democrats are really connected-which is nice because Obama has all the Voters information help areas on his site. What to do for Absentee voting, where to early vote, register, etc..It's sweet.
Loves that stuff. Connecting the people.

the stock market jitters display the the mood of the country very well.

It may seem like a coincidence, but what seems to be rational is sometimes reason and prologue to the future.

Translation : Until Mc Cain actually picked up Palin, as Newt Gingrich has been saying for many months, the market was reeling in confusion.
It is now following sensible convention again and that is because the Mc cain ticket displays that the White House is safe from being invaded by a socialist coup.

been posting for weeks that Obama's in real trouble. he is in danger of losing all the most important (high electoral count swing states) biggest problem is no realistic or visionary plan for tackling our economic, security and health care crises...and he blew his chance at unifying the party by snubbing Hillary - this is in stark contrast to Kennedy's choice of Johnson as his running mate...

in the absence of compelling policies and bipartisan support, the race will turn on experience and trust favoring McCain

Obama is too inexperienced a candidate for the presidency.
the DNC should have nominated a Clinton/Obama ticket, now
it is too late and they will be very lucky to get him
elected even after the debacle of 8 yrs of W!!

they will be shaking their heads how could it happen?! noway

whoa

well much the same way W was re-elected for a completely incomprehensible 2nd term against Kerry - who arguably was a a stronger candidate than Obama...

the DNC and Obama have no one to blame but themselves....
are they appealing to more conservative swing voters?

laugh

Well it is not over yet and I still believe the American people will see that Obama is the better pick for the presidency. We are a smart nation, or at least I want to believe we are.

Palin has been a distraction but what does she really bring to the table? Nothing. She is an average woman with far right views.

Obama was distracted also but he will get back on track. His ads cover the issues as they should, leaving the lying slams to the right which is all they really ever offer.

the problem is that obama has no more realistic solutions to the current problems than mccain - so,it will boil down to experience and character and "traditional" demo vs. repub policy priorities and the GOP have been winning such battles for years now.

i don't know if there is anything he can do now

I think people ARE waking up to the lies & deceptions that libs have been passing off as the norm & the truth.

People also believe that McCain/Palin are the ones who really will bring change unlike OBAMA who is an OPRAH propped up empty suit.

I think people know who will best defend this nation...it's not OBAMA.

I think people will know that DEMS have done nothing for the working class people with their push for national healthcare instead of passing laws to protect the workforce here at home.

I think people KNOW that DEMS snuck out of DC instead of being pro active on getting us off OPEC oil.

I also know that Americans can't afford to keep DEMS in office. TAXES man! TAXES! DEMS think we don't pay enough now!!!! DUH!

TAXES man! TAXES! DEMS think we don't pay enough now!!!! DUH!

"DUH" is appropriate. On taxes, I think the difference is important, because both sides love to spend our money. The Democrats spend more on social (people) programs and the Republicans on blowing **** up and bailing out their Wall Street fundraisers.

The difference is the Democrats are actually responsible enough to try to pay for their spending with this generations money. The Republicans are content to stick the bill with our grandchildren.

I think its good Obama is into technology but I hope he is betting the bank on it. It seems now days every company and so on thinks every one in the U.S. has a computer. Well not everyone does. I had a prob with mine and had to call a company for some things and the first words out of the person on the phone was you know you can do this on the internet. Laughing I told that person I would if I had it so now you have to help me. I think if Obama wants to win this he needs to to go a little more with TV ads and not the internet. I think the main reason he isnt hitting Mccain is because he is on defense and hasnt had an opening to really hit back.

Some good points, but I'm not into Obama "hitting back." As long as the Republicans keep it a mudslinging affair, they have the advantage. They are doomed on the issues.

Considering that the problems started during this administration are based purely from that good ole republican " Do as we say not as we do" and " We know better what is best for everyone", philosophies. This country has to choose a better choice than that for the future.

The Tax issue comes down to this, Obama wants to tax the wealthy and give to the less fortunate, McCain wants the middle class to continue bearing the weight of this country on their shoulders. Which sounds better for the average person in this country?

What lies??? I think if you are going to make charges like that you should be bold enough to state something to support those accusations.

People also believe that McCain/Palin are the ones who really will bring change unlike OBAMA who is an OPRAH propped up empty suit.

I've seen you make this empty suit comment before. it is bogus then and its bogus now. If you insist on believing it then Palin is an empty pants suit propped up by McCain.

I think people know who will best defend this nation...it's not OBAMA.

This is the biggest crock of $#!T. Who was president on 9/11? Bush! He was in office for 20 months. Under his watch. He ignored red flag intel with titles like "Bin Laden determined to attack inside the US." Bill Clinton tried to kill Bin Laden but the Republicans wouldn't allow him.

The Republicans are full of it when it comes to defense.

I think people will know that DEMS have done nothing for the working class people with their push for national healthcare instead of passing laws to protect the workforce here at home.

The Democrats have always fought for Unions that protect the "workforce here at home". The republicans do their best to bust Unions taking job security away from the "workforce here at home". As for health care, why is it we are the only nation in the western world that doesn't provide health care? why is it we die younger and have more obesity and preventable illness like heart failure and diabetes? we need to be our brothers keeper.

I think people KNOW that DEMS snuck out of DC instead of being pro active on getting us off OPEC oil.

You are being really vague but i assume you are referring to the congress going on recess and not voting on the energy bill. Well fact of the matter is Republicans could have had a vote on that bill but they didn't want to vote on it! All they had to do was compromise on offshore drilling but the ideologues are stubborn and wanted a stunt to prop up in an election year.

I also know that Americans can't afford to keep DEMS in office. TAXES man! TAXES! DEMS think we don't pay enough now!!!! DUH!

Obama lowers taxes for 95% of american families. If you make over $250,000 your taxes will return to what they where in 2000. If you make under $50,000. you will not be taxed at all. If your live on social security you will not even have to file your taxes.

....Really if you are serious about this election you should be doing research and understanding the positions not just spouting anger filled untruths
