What's the diffrence between looking for a activity partner and lokking for intimate encounter?

Intimate is just sex

Activity partner is ACTIVE sex rofl

that gave me a little chuckle.

activity partner could mean anything I guess. I'd like an activity partner for a back massage after work. There's an activity.

I thought that activity partner meant someone to do things with - casual dating.

I consider it to be different from Intimate Encounters - sex.

I also agree with that meaning

Someone to do things with.

In a non-sexual way.

That actually exists?
I went put with someone that wanted an activity partner and the only activity was sex he wanted!
No... the activity did not take place!!

Means someone to hang with and not necessarily date. No Sex

To me I see it as someone to go do things with ect more of a friends with benefits. Someone they want to go do things with but no commitment per-say. No solid relationship at least that is how I look at it.bigsmile

I'd say ask!

If they can't honestly define what activities they are interested in then run away! haha

Activities may range from bumping uglies to going to church Sunday mornings.

I wouldn't write anyone off without asking.

I suppose he wants someone to do stuff with especially if she's doing the cooking that night, may or may not include sex.

To me an activity partner is someone to go places with like movies, bike riding, dinner, concerts etc but no sex. It's like dating without the romantic part.

When people list that they are looking for an activity partner what does that really mean?

depend on the person, gender and age.

It could mean anything from just hanging and doing things like going to play tennis or sports, dancing to martial arts to doing something like jogging or working out and going back to their place to do the mattress boogie to
just going out to dinner, shows, concert with no romance attached to it.

For me, it would mean going places with a man who I have a platonic relationship. Movies, museums, weekend trips, business parties, etc.

If either of us started a relationship with someone, we would not do activities together, but remain friends.

Intimate is just sex
Activity partner is ACTIVE sex

I just ran into a similar thing at another dating site.
I messaged a woman and she replied with a
"We won't work out because if you read my profile you know I don't want anyone that smokes pot or does drugs!"
I messaged back with a reply that I don't.
She messaged back that my profile says I am an "occasional smoker" and that means that I smoke pot.

I am trying to quit smoking cigarettes so I 'smoke occasionally'.
What I understand is that someone that smokes pot is "420 Friendly".

My point is, there are a lot of people that try to 'read into' anything that is posted on a profile. Most people that lie, think everyone else does too.
Most people think everyone operates on the same "wavelength" but we don't.
You know what they say about "As sUme".

Not many people can take things at 'face value'.
Assuming there is always a hidden meaning or ulterior motive.
That what you see is not the real story.
The condition stems from our media over-exposure.
The implied hidden meaning behind the events of the day sells air time, editions and web revenue. We are conditioned to not believe what we see as that whole truth.

Now that search for an activity partner gains a new meaning based on our conditioning. Sometimes the assumption is accurate but sometimes, it just means what it says.
