The Jewel Of My Life

Which jewel could I describe
Being who you are to me,
The one that's red as my heart
That would be the ruby.
Making others jealous with envy
By being my emerald green,
Or eyes being sapphire of blue
With a lustrous sheen.

When the sun shines on your hair
It's a topaz of gold,
When you smile, I see the opals
That shine so bold.
But there's something you should know
I can't get enough of,
Is the love you bestow upon me
You're a diamond in the rough.
