It doesn't make sense to me unless you came back knowing what you had done wrong so you could fix it. otherwise how would you know what lesson it was you had to learn? to return because of bad choices that you are no longer aware of in the present life does nothing to help you escape this present situation - if the idea behind it is to escape having to return over and over - what good is it to do so if you can't remeber from the previous life what you had done wrong? seems stupid to me. flowerforyou

Your soul knows, is the best I can explain it. Your experiences, both good and bad, are imprinted on your soul. If you strive to be the best person you can be, under all circumstances, then eventually your soul will be free from a worldly existence for eternity. If you listen to your soul, it will tell you what you need to know.

BTW, I don't call your beliefs stupid, please give me the same respect flowerforyou
Suzin, I am sorry, FOR EVERYONE, IF YOU CAN'T BE RESPECTFUL TO OTHER PEOPLE, PLEASE DON'T COMMENT IN MY POSTS. DON'T STEP ON OTHER PEOPLE'S BELIEFS:angry:

Nor do I but it seems to be the norm. Agree with me or you're stupid, you get used to it. Good thing I rarely feel the need to justify my own existence laugh laugh laugh

Awww, thanks! flowers

I don't know the reason for my existence, does anyone? I know I'm here for a reason because, despite the fact that I was supposed to have died 8 years ago and have almost died a few times, I'm still here. Luck or fate? I don't know. I suppose if there is a reason, it'll be made known to me eventually.

No reason you should have, not many people do. 12 years ago I was diagnosed with a rare and 100% fatal form of leukemia and was told I'd be dead in less than 5 years. Well, guess what, I'm still here. It's no longer even considered necessarily fatal. And I almost died in childbirth twice, the first I had a bad allergic reaction to a painkiller which caused a seizure and my heart to stop and the 2nd when I miscarried and they couldn't stop the bleeding.

So, I figure I'm here until I've served my purpose, whatever that may be flowerforyou

Yes, that's what I think. I'm here for a reason, even if I have no idea what it is.flowerforyou

If reincarnation is a way for souls to gather information, to learn lessons, to work out mistakes in life, then what does the soul do with this information?

What purpose does it serve. In what way has this information medium developed?
This is my belief: I think the information is sent back to God

As for your second question. I have to admit, I don't have an answerflowerforyou Maybe somebody else can help with that question, any takers

So what could god be using this info for if he is omniscient? (all knowing)

____________

Also I read back what was said, I don't think that poster was calling you stupid, he had an idea about reincarnation that was not your belief (which you clarified) and he held that other idea as stupid.

But that was just my interpretation.

I do agree that reincarnation for it to be real and make sense would have to serve a purpose beyond this reality.

If you do not get the memories within this reality, and they gather somewhere beyond this reality, then there must be a reason, a purpose, a need, it should serve a function.

If it serves, nor ever served a function, it would indeed be stupid.

What purpose does it serve humankind to acquire information and seek knowledge? What do they do with it? Where do they store it? Where do you go to get certain information that has been compiled by human beings? What good is it? What is its purpose?

Why not just live a simple life as a farmer or a hunter gatherer and forget about reading, writing, computing, building, teaching, and acquiring knowledge?

Each unit of awareness (person) collects information and experience and that information and experience is kept and stored within the collective universal mind.

All information is held within the universal mind like a gigantic computer or library. This information is never lost and it can be retrieved via the subconscious by any entity existing within the universal mind worlds...including humans.

The purpose of collecting information and experience is for the expansion of the universe.

Reality is made up of energy and information ... vibrations. The universe is moving and it is alive and aware.

your a goof tribo......never stripped or belly danced...lol Your fantasies and my realities are two different things my sweet.

No and this is why......If you have to reincarnate because you didn't learn your lessons the first time....And you have to reincarnate into something more then you were in a previous life...What exactly would a human being reincarnated into. If we are at the top of the food chain or whatever you want to call it. Now if I was an eagle in another life...Would also not my lessons be different then if I reincarnated into another creature. And what exactly creature was I before I was human?

Nope makes not to much sense to me.

Well sure it does - you were a belly dancer in your previous life - now you moved up to stripper, who knows what kind of dancer you'll be in the next??

Sorry just can't bye it......I don't see the purpose of coming back 1,000 times to better yourself or even 5. No I sure can't.....Makes much more sense to live your life....live it good as Christ would want and then have eternal life with him....that's my story and I am sticking to it...And only because I have seen, for me, myself, and I....I have been shown....so the Lord is who I follow and the narrow path is the one I choose.

laugh laugh laugh

The thing is with reincarnation, you do not always move forward in the "food chain," you can move back as well. As a simple example, if you murder someone in this life and are reincarnated, you could come back and become a victim of a violent crime.

There are varying degrees of "humanness" so to speak. You may learn one life lesson, but fail miserably at another. Therefore, you would come back still as a human, but perhaps better positioned to learn that new lesson.

Does that make sense? And I'm not asking anyone of they've changed their mind on reincarnation, just trying to give a little more nuance to the discussion flowerforyou

What a great point...and how would you know that you came back from another life learning the lesson in the first place.....stupid stupid. And would you come back as a baby or a full grown human...and would you come back as a woman because in a previous life you were so insensitive...and you you even know you were.....hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I first want to apologize suzin I think I also said stupid...I'm sorry. But for me my soul will go only one place and that is when Christ takes me home. And I don't recall ever needing lessons other then the right now. So therefore I would have to assume I have never been reincarnated....
