Topic: Do you believe in reincarnation?

it might be interesting to talk about - but NO i don't believe in it - i read an article back in the 80's of how at that time over 3000 living people claimed that they were either Cleopatra or Marie Antoinette, or other famous people from history, that kinda settled it for me.

how come nobody says there bob from dumb**** Maine?

I wondered about that too. Many people have memories of those famous people and think they were incarnates from them. There is a reason for that. I would not let that small detail dissuade me from the belief in reincarnation. Reincarnation makes too much sense to me.

Memories of Cleopatra are vaguely seen in my own subconscious. I felt very familiar feelings seeing the golden Egyptian busts with those odd shaped hats and I fantasized about being Cleopatra but I did not delude myself into thinking there was any truth to that.

I think those kinds of memories are picked up from the connections we have with each other and the universal subconscious.

i guess i should have been a little more specific my goddess, it was a long article.

hmmm? or are you saying they were all delusional? are you related to funch? - laugh

as far as i can remember they were talking of these people all living at the same time and saying they were Cleopatra under hypnosis with details and as i said other famous historic people also. now i know you believe their are many more like you as to who you totally are is spirit, but why would your higher-selves get together and say well several hundred of us are going to be re-birthed all at the same time as Cleopatra? or_____ don't get me wrong i believe in the spirit and life beyond this life just not being reborn for eternity, in fact if that's the case i will beg to be let out of the recurring cycle. talk about hell - gheeeesh!!

I don't really have a theory or an answer for the reasons so many people have these memories or this information in their subconscious memory banks but I do believe that the universal unconscious holds information in the form of "books" which are not the kind that you read, but the kind you can walk into and experience as a participant.

It would be like going to a movie but it is more like a 3-D dream where you become one of the actors. Like a holographic program or virtual reality.

When this type of information is experienced the subconscious mind cannot distinguish it from reality or real experience. In that respect it becomes a real experience for that individual.

In this world, and under hypnosis, a person can be made to believe they have had an experience that they have not actually had.

If in their subconscious they experienced the Cleopatra "movie" or holographic story, which is available in the collective mind, then that experience would be in their subconscious. It does not even have to be a true story. It could be one that was imagined.

There are many people who have experienced very vividly the crucification of Jesus and were a participant in the story themselves, perhaps with members of their family also playing parts. I have a friend who played the part as the Mother of Jesus and her son played the part of Jesus in a extremely vivid dream or vision.

Our minds, and the universal mind will create any experience for us that we desire.

JB

So then you think hundreds or thousands of people walk into this book at about the same time and live this? of all the people that have lived the millions or billions that have moved on - how come they only go into the books of so few? are their only limited books to go into? shouldn't there be millions of books based on all past lives of evryone? like i said you dont here of anyone being "Cassius the servent from troy" being dreamed of. Youve talked of us desiring to want to come back and live this game again in other threads, like people are going nuts to want to play again in this game, i would like it to cease eternally and just not be any more once im gone - is that a choice?

((Is there a book for little house on the prarie or touched by an angel? and why do angels have british accents))) -

The truth is... like everything else that people speculate about 'post departum'.... there's no way to know. Obviously your energy is reused, but whether there's a recycling program for souls... impossible to say.

I believe in the Buddhist idea of reincarnation, that each soul is born again brand new, yet with a subtle imprint of past experiences branded on it. And I believe that you will keep being reborn until you get it right. So many people don't trust their instincts when it comes to making choices in their lives, I believe that these instincts, feelings, gut reactions, whatever you want to call it, are just your past experiences making themselves known. I believe you are not supposed to correct mistakes from past existences but learn from them and grow as a soul. And once this fully happens, you will be absorbed into the Wheel of Life to exist there for all eternity.

And, I believe in soul mates. I think we sometimes run across people in our lives that our souls recognize, whether in a positive or negative way. They can come in many guises, and there is just not the "one." flowerforyou flowerforyou

I call those people "life-mates" soul mates are greek mythology and have nothing to do with re-incarnation. it's just something that modern man has used to put upon people who know no better.

Life-mates do exist, my father and mother were such, they are ones we are readily drawn to be it male or female as friends or lovers, husbands or wives. i donot put this into some kind of otherworldly acceptence at all. not that your not entitled to think as you may.

I personally see no proof of any type of re-incarnation.

I haven't either, and I've done some research into it.

The fact is, I don't want to come back anymore. If I had the option of going back in time and preventing myself from ever being born in the first place, I'd do it in a heartbeat. That's just the reality of it. Why go through it again?

no, it's inconsistent with any logic whatsoever, as far as i understand. which means that somebody else may have a different reasoning which i don't care.
I'm just saying that as far as I understand reincarnation is an absolute nonsense.

Nor do I, however, faith is just that, faith, doesn't really matter what it is you believe in or whether or not it's scientific or rational when it comes to spiritual belief. I've done a lot of studying and soul-searching and this is just what feels right to me within my own soul.

I give you that I could be wrong and I'll find out when I die flowerforyou
