when someone wants to have a conversation with you through aim, yahoo, msn or whatever and its completely one-sided?

I can't stand it when someone sends me an IM to have a conversation and then I'm the one that is carrying the entire conversation, asking all the questions and all i get is one word answers back. If you want to talk to me, the conversation needs to be carried both ways frustrated

It happens one way or another you sometimes have some that don't shut up or the ones that never talk, perfection is hard to find if it exists.

Me I'm just happy they say hello and if they really do not seem to enjoy the conversation I just say goodnight.

Too bad my ex-wife is remarried. I'd fix you two up. If you like lengthy responses you'd love her.

its not the lengthy conversations i'm looking for, i just don't understand why someone would try and have a conversation and then just not say anything

I keep my IM feature turned off...I don't care for being trapped in just one convo when I can bounce off & on here...

A conversation, by definition, is not one-sided.

Maybe they are not capable of intelligent conversation.

I like to find out right up front that someone isn't communicative. It helps me to decide whether or not I want to pursue a friendship.

Conversations like that won't last long with me. I don't like talking to lazy people.
