You should not WANT or need to win a guy over. A guy should like you for just being you. Men are not auction items that go out to the higher bidder. They either like you or they don't.

I wish I had some ideas. The only thing I've been able to do is attract all the wrong ones....

The right guy will be attracted to you wit, intelligence, free spirit, and the glow you exude from confidence. He will care about you and your day to day routine.

The wrong guy will only care about the exterior and ask for naked pix. He will rarely be the guy to ask how your day was, if you need help studying for your exam or if your car is low on gas.

That being said, represent yourself as the former rather than the party girl with nothing to say or as someone with no goals. The more you focus on developing your own interests then you will become an interesting person. The right guy will gravitate towards a girl who is multi faceted.

Just my own personal opinion but --

I like girls who are smart, the smarter the better. If she can hold a conversation and does not need every multi-syllable word explained, defined, and used in a practice sentence, that's a huge plus.

I like someone who is creative, into art or music or writing or something along those lines, something beyond the "norm."

I like someone who likes to read, yeah -- I'm a writer, it goes with the territory.

I don't want a partier. I won't get involved with anyone who uses drugs or alcohol. Been through that wringer too many times already, lost too many people I cared about. Not again.

I want someone who won't try to "domesticate" me. I would like to be in a relationship, but I am definitely not husband or father material. I don't want someone who is going to try to change me into a farm animal, and I don't want someone who is so shallow and vapid that she is going to bore me to death in 3 months.

The reality of it is that I've only met one person in my whole life who really filled the bill. And I'm not at all convinced there's another one out there....

Knock them over the head, chain 'em up and then make them your love slave.

I'm sure you'll find some guy who will gladly volunteer his services. laugh

If the magnetism is not there then you are wasting effort! Then again you could always try clubbing him on the head with a baseball bat and drag him off....drinker
