I can't believe it wasn't overturned. It's stupid how can we decide who we let marry and who we don't want to marry?

Prop 8 is seriously one of the dumbest propositions ever.

it's a conflict of democracy versus discrimination and democracy won

It would seem that we can decide pretty easily.

The majority of people decided to vote for it. That's the way it works.

The minority making demands that go against the wishes of the majority of people, especially when that majority has spoken, is far more disappointing to me.

Marriage is about love, not procreation.

It just goes to show that either the ones that believe in who should marry and those that should not voted. Hummm guess the ones that believe all should be able to should put the their pen to the ballot to let them be heard.

Now I must say it does not matter to me one way or the other I have never been against anyone being able to do as they see fit within their own lives. But until they speak up they will not have that opportunity as well. JMO

in this day and age i dont know why people marry,either youre loyal to the person youre with or youre not i dont need a piece of paper to tell me that.i'm 49 and have never been married which sure makes divorce a helluva lot easier and cheaper,other than drawing attention to the issue why bother.
..and if its because you believe in marriage,then say your vows to each other and consider yourself married,perhaps the ones who want to get married should ban together form their own church and beliefs ,worship in a tax free church(flip your finger at uncle sam) and get married ...jmo

why are people so much in a hurry to sign a stupid piece of paper that is nothing but a contract between two corporate entities and the state. when you do that, it becomes you two marrying the state. isn't that romantic. screw that. what the hell are they fighting for anyways, it turns out to be nothing!! just so they can be legally recognised by the corporate government? ha ha
