O.K. So I have been talking to this gentleman and I do use the term loosely on here and on the phone for several weeks. We were supposed to have our first "date" today. On Monday we had words because I told him I wasn't comfortable with all his blatantly sexual remarks and that he shouldn't take it or me for granted that just because I agreed to go out that there would be sex involved. After said conversation I didn't hear from him all week. This morning he sends me a message on yahoo saying he can't wait to meet me. Is it just me or am I wrong for not wanting to go now?

your not wrong. follow your gut. I am quite sick of MOST men online. Many seem to have that high school concept. I get plenty of first dates, very few 2nd, because I dont put out on first date.

I refuse to lose my morals and values to be some mans pleasure, and if that is all they6 are after hun, let it go... you deserve better, i deserve better... and never settle for less that you deserve

You are not wrong. Like giggles said follow your gut. If you feel uncomfortable online then I wouldn't meet in person.

While I know my morals and ideas are considered old fashioned by todays' standards by most people I refuse to compromise them. That just isn't me. I was raised to be a lady and I have managed to maintain that for 45 years. I am very open and upfront about the way I think and feel. But this just smacks of disrespect to me.

If he was blantant about sexual enuendos? maybe you should....run forest run!.. some women do open that door right away but I have seen you on here for a while now and you just don't strike me as that type. (no offense to any other women on here). if your not comfortable with him what gives you the idea it will change?

I too am told i'm old fashioned... and that's ok!!

I am very upfront about this as well, I make myself quite clear. And one of my best friends, who is a man, said STOP being so upfront. Men find it a challenge and it intrigues them... I'm guessing he is actually quite correct!!

I don't think it will change so I am not going. And no, I am not the type to open that door to anyone in a rush. You are very astute ducky~ flowerforyou

And while I agree with you Ms. Giggles that it may very well present a challenge. How do you not be up front about it and stay true to yourself? Did your friend have any advise about this?

 maybe he's just trying to find out just how bad you want to go out with him because sex is whats really on his mind. thata why he blew you off and u didn't hear from you, he's indirectly trying to play amind game and let you know you think he doesn't need your BS. Your pretty hot and have a sexy figure. If I was younger you can bet I'd be knocking on your email.

no.. he really didnt. He said just state it once, up front. If they dont respect it on a date, then leave. I frustrate myself way too much with it. But im really beginning to think he is right

I find it sad a woman has to let go of her morals and standards to be a mans pleasure, or she's not worthing of a 4th date....

you dont know what your missing dear... you truly dont

~shrugs~ while I think you may be correct about the mind games it just doesn't work with me. And I feel he is the one trying to fling the crap not me. And I don't have to be anyone other than myself to procure a date. If you don't like me the way I am and think you have to manipulate or change me, why the heck would I want to go out with you anyway? Complete waste of time and my time is too valuable to waste. Thank you for the lovely compliments though~ flowerforyou

I don't know why you haven't seen me I am a long time mingler but I only post when I feel I have something pertinent to add to the topic. No there isn't a great age difference between us. I wondered about that when you said it. You are a flatterer with the compliments and I thank you but my true beauty lies inside not out. blushing

Don't lower your morals and values. It is who you are and if they have a problem then it isn't to be.

i say stick by your guns and dont budge, for you are killimajaro and no man should climb a mountain on a first date. I know myself personally i am to bashful to even think of something like that. it just goes to show that you can take the dog out of the man but you cannot take the man out of the dog.
