You may not have to say it all the time, but you should always SHOW it. When it comes to love, I do think actions speak louder ~ and more truthfully ~ than words. That said, if they mean it it's GREAT to hear! That is the truth!!! |

Personally the words and actions should go hand in hand and should never be something just said as an idle statement. If you are not showing someone that you love them you have no business telling them that you love them.
I also believe that when you show someone that you love them you need to tell them as well. I may know that you love me by the things you do for/with/because of me but it is still nice to hear. |

If you love me tell me every day. Every time you have the urge to. I will do the same for you. Those are comforting words. End your phone calls with it. End our day with it, and say it whenever we part or return. I will love you that much more for it. That will never stop my other expressions of love. Only enhance them.

On a day years ago I had failed to to say I love you as my first wife left the house to go to work. While in route to her job a speeding car ran through a stop sign and into the drivers side door killing my wife instantly. That was 11 years ago. But the guilt of not saying those three words to her as she departed from me still lingers in my heart and mind. So, it is my believe that those three words should be spoken daily and when departing. because you may never again get the opertunity.

Me and my girlfriend say it every time we talk. We don't have the luxory of seeing each other often, going to see her in two weeks!

I believe in saying it and expressing it. You should show your love always and treat them with the utmost respect at all times. It is however very nice to hear the words whispered in your ear.
