Abra....

It is not your place to point out in someone else, what yuo don't agree with. Just state ONCE why you don't agree...then move on.
Period.

What? what

But then what would happen to the soap operas?

The forums would turn into Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and everyone would shut off their computers and go do something else. laugh

Creativesoul...wonderful question.I couldn'y play a note for the longest time.I still don't consider myself a great muscian..but i had the heart and determination to pursue. Not worrying about failure..and how many of my friends were better than I.I created my passion by just doing it...mistakes and all.I still mess up today..but will never surrender.
Music is the best methode to healing!

Take it if you want it!

Keep walking if my version of it disturbs you. Find your own magick if you are looking for magick. Find your own logic if you are looking for logic.

And if what I say or post HELPS YOU in any way I am glad. If not, don't waste your time reading it or my time in trivial mental arguments that are meaningless distractions.

If you are right, then be right and go about your business of feeling right.

So while this has all been very interesting, we seem to have reached a place where further banter is pointless.

It seems to be far more important to you to control my actions than to be in charge of your own.

You've stated things like,

"Keep walking if my version of it disturbs you."

(telling me how to act)

"If not, don't waste your time reading it or my time in trivial mental arguments that are meaningless distractions."

(telling me how to act)

"If you are right, then be right and go about your business of feeling right."

(telling me how to act)

It seems to me that you aren't even following the practices of the Law of Attraction at all. Instead of dealing with what you attract, you try to shoo it away. laugh

You say, "Find your own magick if you are looking for magick."

I've already found my magick. My magick is simple. I accept the way things are. It's Buddhism 101.

Clearly your presense isn't bothering me. My presense is bothering you. laugh

You view me as a problem that you neither want, nor attracted, nor can figure out how to get rid of. laugh

And you allow that to bother you.

I'm not bothered by anything in this thread.

I'm having fun with it.

I don't know why you're so upset about my posts. Do you feel that I'm interfering with some sort of advertisment campagne for the Law of Attraction or something?

Did you have some idealized view of how you would like this thread to become manifest and it didn't pan out the way you had hoped?

It seems to me that based on what you've been suggesting you should have been able to create a thread to turned out just how you had envisioned it. But your ability to create that reality has been thwarted by some jerk on the Internet! Damn HIM anyway! It's all HIS FAULT! If he hadn't been there things might have unfolded differently and the WHOLE WORLD could be at peace!

Is that the Law of Attraction? spock

It sure doesn't seem to fall in line with what you have been preaching.

Now, just because I can, and because this truly is a DISCUSSION FORUM and not a PRIVATE BILLBOARD for unquestioned advertisements of the Law of Attraction, allow me to compare the Law of Attraction with say, Buddhism.

The Law of Attraction claims that YOU attract everything to you and that you CREATE your entire reality by your thoughts.

Well, if that's true then you're creating this very post that I'm typing because it is ultimately becoming manifest in YOUR reality.

Now, let's compare this with Buddhism.

Buddhism basically says, "Sh!t happens, deal with it!"

If my posts upset you is't only becasue you allow them to upset you. Not because you created my posts using the law of attraction, but because you created the reaction of becoming upset by them.

That is what you have CREATED. You create your reaction to things. You don't create the things themselves.

And that's the fundamental basis of Buddhism, not the Law of Attraction.

Buddhism says that you create your reactions to things.

The Law of Attraction tries to claim that you actually create the THINGS that appear in your reality.

You don't create me. Nor do you create my posts.

All that you create is your reaction to them.

Buddhism, says that you create of your reactions.

The Law of Attraction tries to brainwash you into thinking that you create the actions that affect you.

But you don't. You only create your reactions like Buddhism says.

If my posts annoy you it's only because that's the reaction you create.

I'm not annoyed. I'm having fun.

If you're annoyed, then you've created 'being annoyed'.

But Buddhism has that covered.

You didn't "attract" being annoyed, because if you truly wanted to you could just agree with me and not be annoyed at all.

There is no 'reality' to the annoyance you believe exists. You're creating 'annoyance' by your reaction some something that doesn't even contain inherent 'annoyance' to begin with. flowerforyou

Will you have Regrets?

The illusion is the freedom
That we think we’ve got;
While we wish that we could do
The things that we dare not.

We hide behind our faces
Living; yet living not;
And we wait for something better
While our flesh begins to rot.

And we make up good excuses
And hold them in our thought
To justify inaction
And the life that we have wrought.

The shame is that we know the truth
But still, we live it not.
And when the final days are spent
Do we find joy in what we’ve bought?

I'm sorry you have such a low opinion of yourself.

I was under the impression you had a problem with my posts, not the other way around given all your ranting about it.

But if what I am posting does not bother you then ...RANT ON!

The New Matrix

Addicted to our paradigms
We worship gods and nursery rhymes
And wander in the dark of night
Thinking we are right.

As these realities are sold
We will watch new dreams unfold
having lived with the false facade
That we knew something of God.

But some have discovered reality
Is not at all what most think it to be.
but more a matrix or a dream
Of some intelligence unseen.

As wholeness and the implicate order
Now cross over this new border
Some will see the truth unfold
And watch new dreams take hold.

The Principle of Conscious Change

It is impossible to create something that does not serve you, and at the same time create it consciously. You can, however, create dysfunctional feelings, behaviors, and outcomes over and over as long as you create them unconsciously (without continuous conscious awareness). If you observe the creation of feelings, behaviors, or outcomes with conscious awareness, those that do not serve you will fall away.

The trick is to remain conscious. Unfortunately, we have many ways of becoming unconscious: overeating, drugs and alcohol, projection, blaming, thinking, analyzing, obsessing, spacing out—and countless others.

To become conscious, you must identify your favorite ways of going unconscious, be vigilant in noticing them, and instead of going unconscious, learn to watch your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors with curiosity and awareness.

**************************

My favorite ways of going unconscious:

1. Sleep laugh
2. Watching Movies.
3. Spacing out.
4. Reading Creative's posts. laugh
5. Reading James's Rants laugh
6. Thinking to much about tiny details.
7. Worrying about something I can't do anything about.

When a weight lifter begins lifting weights, he doesn't start off lifting 600 lbs all at once.

He usually starts out lifting up a few weights.......and in time as he grows stronger..he is able to lift a few more....

and a few more...and a few more....

until one day..... his muscles becomes strengthened to the point ,
where is finally able to lift all of the 600 lbs .

Same with Jeannie.

Jeannie is just beginning to exercise and strengthen her "muscles" ....

and is just a beginner....

but in time she will grow stronger and stronger.

She should not be not expected to "lift all the 600 lbs of weight right away"....

.but in time as she "works out and develops her muscles"...

she will one day, be able to lift all the "600lbs"...

With ease.

Thanks Morningsong.

That's encouraging because, coincidentally, I (for real) have started a strength training program and I actually AM learning to lift weights. How amazing is that in relation to your post?

You must be psychic. bigsmile

Buddhism basically says, "Sh!t happens, deal with it!"

This is not in conflict with what I believe. It is simply a suggestion to accept what is, and go from there.

Most people don't. They resist and resist. They scream NO NO NO! They wail "I DON'T WANT THIS OR THAT!" OR "ITS NOT MY FAULT!"

The Principle of Letting Whatever Happens Be Okay

(Accepting what is.)

The amount a person suffers is directly related to how much they resist the fact that “things are the way they are.” All suffering and discomfort, regardless of the appearance, is a result of some form of resistance. This means that ending resistance ends suffering.

To the degree a person is willing and able to let whatever happens be okay, they do not suffer. Attachments to people, situations, or things being different than they are can be upgraded to preferences, so when “what is” is not what you want, you do not suffer. When this happens, your happiness and peace are not controlled by outer circumstances.

People with many rules about how things are suppose to be suffer more, because no matter how much they try to get the world to follow their rules, the rules are often violated.

Letting whatever happens be okay does not mean you can’t work toward making things they way you want them to be; it just means you prefer the outcomes you seek rather than being addicted to them. The key, then, to handling challenging situations, thoughts, and feelings is not in resisting them, but rather in becoming as fully accepting of them as possible.

Accept what happens, and what you think and feel, even if it is uncomfortable. Though it looks as if discomfort is created by what we resist, in actual fact it comes from the resistance itself.

Stop resisting, and the discomfort stops also. Through acceptance, you empower yourself to heal, transform, or release unresolved mental or emotional material. When you sense resistance, meet it with acceptance.

Ironically, once you stop resisting, you are much more effective in creating any external change you may have a preference (not an attachment) for.

What is, is. It is your point of power because it is NOW. If you don't accept and assess the situation, you have a hard time making a decision of what to do about it.

The point I was making which you seem to have entirely missed is that you're trying to control what you have no control over.

The Law of Attraction is a deluded philosophy that gives people the false delusions that they can control the world around them completely.

Buddhism is a much wiser philosophy that accepts that there are things in this life that we have no control over and it teaches us how to deal with them.

I'm just contrasting the difference for the sake of those who might care to compare ancient wisdom with new age baloney.

LOA is Not about control.

It's About changing one's old stinkin thinking around.

Jeannie is kind and sweet....and doesn't have to share this with

others.....but she shares from the heart anyway...just for the joy of sharing.

She asks none to beleive as she does..

No presssure from her whatsoever......

she is simply Just patiently sharing something that she

joyfully found works for her.

I see no control at all on her part.

All I see is a very kind hearted lady.

Who likes to debate thoughlaugh:heart::wink:

I understand your point but you misunderstand me.

LOA is not about controlling anything outside of yourself!

I do not attempt to control anything or anyone. This is your delusional conclusion. This is NOT what I do.

I control my thoughts and feelings. I use my will to direct my attention and my thoughts, and that is what the universe responds to.

I am NOT alone in my creation. THE UNIVERSE RESPONDS TO MY THOUGHTS, MY BELIEFS AND MY FEELINGS because I am part of the universe.

To cease 'resistance' and to accept what is, is not trying to control anything. It is accepting what is.

Do you NOT READ MY WORDS? Are you that focused on expressing your opinion that you do not even read my words? Please read what I say.

LOA is not about control of other people's creations and things "out there." It is about self mastery. It is about changing your own life, not about changing the entire world.

You Can Choose to be Responsible.

Our culture has gravitated toward the popularization of victimhood over the past several decades. No one is responsible for anything that happens to them. Smokers are not responsible for getting lung cancer, shooters of guns are not responsible for firing them, burglars even sue homeowners for injuring themselves while breaking into a house. Criminals are not responsible for crimes they commit because they had an unhappy childhood, or were under the influence of drugs. Battering husbands (or wives) are not responsible for beating their spouses because the other made them angry, or did such and such to them. These are the more extreme cases, but you can, I’m sure, fill in the details from your own life, if you are honest.

It is so easy to say “I can’t do ____. I have traumatic stress disorder, ADD, a cold, alcoholism, no money, don’t read well, my father was distant, my mother was smothering, I grew up in the inner city, I grew up in the country, blah, blah, blah. In this popularization of victimhood, there is an underlying presupposition that it is somehow easier to be a victim, that there is some benefit to not taking responsibility, that taking responsibility would be onerous, difficult, a struggle, too much work.

I want you to know that, without exception, it is being a victim that is onerous, difficult, a struggle, and too much work. Being responsible for everything that happens, and for every feeling and behavior, is the easy way to live. It is the way to happiness, inner peace, and a productive life. It is the sure way to end all the dramas in your life.

I highly recommend it.

It is about self mastery. It is about changing your own life, not about changing the entire world.
I take this to mean thoughts change you. When you say not about changing the world, and the fact that the world in within the universe, I tend to think this second statement implies that you are not changing the universe, and that these two things are contradictory . . . don't you see that.

Don't you understand that it might seems this way to us?

So over and over again you seem to say that LOA can change reality, but then we give an example and you say, naw not magic . . . but then it is magic.

If Quantumthoughtbubble turned the key of the ignition and a battery that just would not start, starts and its directly related to her THOUGHT then that is paranormal activity which can be tested.

If that is NOT what happened, then what did?

Be clear here and you will gain my respect.
