why are you going to these crappy cities for a vacation? you should go out of the country for a weekend instead. unless you are from out of the country. Where in LA are you going to visit and stay? LA LA? or LA county, which is big?

How rude.

I guess i'm not that much of a traveller, never actually been on a plane. We went camping all the time as kids, just never made it out that far.

That's crazy to me. I never understand why people don't like to see new places. But, to each their own!

Be sure to get a sandwich from down at fisherman's warf for me!

Fishermans Wharf is nice, be sure to buy some trinkets and what-not while your there. I remember buying a Jade Elephant for my Father at this shop, The Victorian Style houses are very nice, and one night at the wharf, we heard Seals barking, it was awesome, but you can't see them.
Anyway, I'm from LA, I suggest your visit Long Beach, they have a restuarnt that has brewery (can't remember the name) and it's very close the shoreline and the Pike, check it out.
Have fun!

What do you mean you can't see the sea lions? Sure you can.

It was already dark, so I couldn't see them, all I heard was seal or sea lion barking.

Are you doing the coastal drive from SF to LA? I did that last year and it is absolutely beautiful, especially the Carmel area..

I thought about it, but I'm flying instead. One day, I'll do it.

I love to travel and am very lucky that I can afford to do that now while I am still physically able... I'm driving to Idaho and Montana in July and taking 3 wks.. Meeting up with some people I have met on another site and one here.. My brother lives in northern Id and he will be coming back with me to visit family here...

I've been on a couple vacations so far this year. Denver a couple months ago (where I met someone from here) and NC last month. Looking forward to California, though.
