Well, I made it through my detox program today after a little over a week, and I head off to the actual rehab facility in Houston TX in the morning by way of the Dirty Dog. I can't take my own PC but there should be one available to me to check my e-mails and what not, so if a line was dropped my way once in a while I should see it. I'll be there 90 to 180 days depending on how well I do, but don't count me out, I'll be out and raising hell however sober people do it in no time.

Two years ago a friend of mine spent 5 weeks in a cognitive therapy rehab and 5 months in half-way house with a 12 step program.

Good start, hope it all turns out well for ya.

Enjoying all the little things in life with an appreciation for the fact you are enjoying it with a sober mind might help.

Just a thought here, no offense intended.

You will be surprised how many folks are in recovery. Many online too an well as IRL.

Been doing it long enough to be called a 'longtimer'
Some days are tougher than others, some days are better than others.
Some days I just don't care.

But clean and sober is priority One.

Good Luck and stay in touch.

good for you

control your own life

remember it took years to develop the habit so don't be impatient or discouraged with the time it takes to break it
