Ok in my time here on the forums, I see this come up.

How do you let go of something or someone? what advice would you give someone?

disclaimer: No this isn't something going on with me. Just a general question laugh

noway OH,,,thats an easy one,,,,figure-it out right after a lady here hurt me...

You simply kill them, cut them up into tiny pieces and put them in a pickle jar, and place the jar in your basement.

THEN,,,everytime YOU remember them, you go downstairs and shake the hell out of their jar and curse them to high heavens,,,and then,
put them back down,,and go back up-stairs to get on the computer for awhile....SEE,,,,thats so EASY....
a,,,could you excuse me for a minute,,,I just got reminded of
jar 14,,,,,I'll be back in a few,,,,KEEP SMILING!!!!

someone once told me a while back to make a fist and squeeze tight...then take a deep breath and exhale while letting my hand relax.

I have dug my nails into my palms more times than I can count laugh

Well that's just dumb! I have posted what I thought were good questions and most posting think it's me, so I don't post questions... You get tired of saying "I was just thinking" or "my friend experienced this and here are my thoughts what are yours?"

Exactly! Sometimes you just have a thought or wonder what other people think about something. ohwell

tell them the glass is half full,
when a door closes a window opens,
better to have loved and lost,
plenty of fish in the sea,
now open for the "right one"

...or something equally as trite

Well this always works to help me let go...........Mentally picture them falling off a cliff and into a coffin, the lid slamming shut and a ton of cement pouring over the coffin. laugh

I looked up the proper way to disembowel someone. I felt better just knowing I could do it.

 To be real here,,,one can never truly ever get over their hurt by that person.
THEY CAN,,,put their memories of THAT experience back FAR into their cautious thinking process,,,
Thats done as some here have said,,,work,,a hobby, DOING THINGS,,
at first,,,YOU have to stay BUSY,,,the MORE busy you are the less time you have to reflect,,,,but TIME,,,,,is the only sure way to get past a hurt or a love,,,some people through a month of time passing forwards...others,,,years before they can NOT CRY when speaking of that...thats my real best on that...
