Okay so I start the conversation with a girl with usually "hi wassup" then go on to talk about age & what we both do, after that conversation expires

I always ask "so what do you want to talk about ?" and 99% of the time
I get "nothing really, do you have an interesting topic in mind ?" after this whatever I say takes the conversation downhill.

Ladies what would you expect to hear from a stranger that you would like.

I know that it will vary from person to person, but in general "what do usually 19 yr old girls talk about". Just need conversation starters here.

These are the topic's i've tried : Movies, Video Games, Quantum physics (believe it or not she ask for it), Mechanical engineering (It's what i am studying) and finally about My story (ie more about me)

if you think the conversation topics are fine then i'll keep trying !!

people generally enjoy talking more than listening. be a great listener and you will be the amazing conversationalist.

develop a wide variety of interests and opinions.

it helps to be curious.

practice right here on the forums. converse, flirt, make friends
and enjoy!

You're trying to hard. It should come naturally, comment on her about something or ask her how she is and you should be able to start a conversation from there, if not, then you gotta work on your social skills.
I had to. The best way is certainly not by watching soap operas and observing fake superficial conversations, but by spending time with friends and bS about all sorts of things. Women loves to BS the same way and listen to stories and opinions, even if they don't agree, so just do the same thing, only avoid the boob and butt and sex encounter stories with other women, which otherwise would be discussed with males.

Definitely. Also avoid Star Wars or Star Trek and computer game characters.

Those topics has been proven a long time ago to be the definite way to turn off 99.9% of the women.

It shouldn't be strained...having things in common helps, somewhat similar anyway. I had a first meeting today and it went for 5 hours and the time flew. What either of us do nor the weather came up at all...

Only foolish women. LOL! Star Wars and Star Trek rock, IMO! I might personally give you the computer game characters, since I really don't play (but the HALO soundtracks sound great!)

Politics and religion if open-minded. It's a good way to find out if there's enough to hold your interest for a serious relationship.

if a stranger decides to talk to me, he'd better have a host of things that HE wants to say, and not expect me to carry the entire conversation.

after all, he contacted me, right?

'hi wassup' probably wouldn't even get a reply from me and, if it did, the rest of the conversation would be like him trying to pull teeth:

him: hey wassup

me: not much

him: how are you?

me: good

that's why it's imperative for people who legitimately want to meet someone to both write, and read, profiles. it saves a lot of embarassment and discomfort.

This is absolutely true. People love talking about themselves -- even the shy ones tend to open up after awhile, and they almost always appreciate a good listener.

I can't tell you how many times I've had a woman tell me "You're the first guy who ever really took the time to listen to what I have to say." And it's not really all that difficult, either.
