My Mom is 71 and my Dad is 72. They've been married for 51 years. She's been in the hospital for 8 days and now a nursing home/rehab place for over two weeks. He's been parked in her room from 3:00 to 8:00 every single one of those days.
My Aunt died this year. Her husband of 55 years lost his best friend. These are only two examples of many people that I know that have been there for each other for many, many years. 99.9% of the men that I know don't follow the belief "variety being the spice of life". I wish ur mom well and good health and its only natural for ur dad to be there for her at this time.....51 yrs of marriage is indeed a long relationship based on love and friendship...and i congratulate them both ...They are amongst the few true loves.
However Please leave aside ur good family and consider this pointer: being in a relationship and maintaining it without getting caught cheating also is a probability worth considering.

OK. We are facing a clash of cultures here and that can lead to some unfair moral lines getting crossed. First of all let me qualify that most of what many men do is for sex in some way shape or form. It is a part of our instinct to reproduce. Not all men in any culture think or act alike. Let's assume tomorrow I meet a woman and we hit it off very well and both of us build a financial empire together. She would be the only one I would remain faithful to because we built Nirvana together. Why? She was part of the Building Process. OH But let reality settle in. Say I finally manage to find my Niche and get fantastically wealthy. No help from anyone. Monogamy? That is just another form of wood. I would be inclined to keep three women under the same roof and if any one of them disturbed the peace of MY household she would be replaced faster than you could say "Ten Seconds!" I would be clear as pure water with any woman about that point. It isn't cheating if you never lied in the first place. It also isn't cheating if you didn't get married in the first place. People here give Paris Hilton crap about marrying a man who was old enough to be her grand father. How about in good old India? How many lecherous old rich perverts marry teen age (and in some places Preteen) girls there? Heck it also goes on in strongly Islamic countries. Sex and money are all relative like anything else. Some women gravitate towards men who can provide them Meth or Blow.
