Is there something you need to tell us, Totage? Just realized that I haven't done anything with my life. I was hoping to have at least a degree by 25. I did want to get married at around 25 too, but that's not happening either. Maybe have my own house... nothing yet... |

However, it's great that you have goals like that. I just sort of wandered through life falling into things. I did okay, but your way is better. So, what are you going to do about it? Obviously you can't do all that in 55 days. How are you going to make changes to meet those goals in a different period of time? Or do you even still want those things? I think we change our minds a lot in our 20's about what we want. |

Last year, at the ripe old age of 42, I finally wrote out my goals. Short term and long term. Every single day I look at them so my day to day activities are guided by them. If you haven't done that. Do it. It helps a lot to write them down. Okay, I won't "mother" you anymore. Don't worry about the girl. Build your life and she will come. Yeah....just like in the movie.

when i was 16 i said i wanted 2 kids by the time i was 24
and i actually had my both my kids by the age of 23 so i beat my goal by 1yr |

I'm not worried about the wife thing. It's more the career thing I'm disappointed about.
I did apply for a job with a plumbing company, digging and laying pipe. If I get that job, I would consider going back to school for plumbing to move up. I have been taking my time, but that's part of the problem at this point. I feel it is at least. |

when i was 16 i said i wanted 2 kids by the time i was 24 and i actually had my both my kids by the age of 23 so i beat my goal by 1yr I helped take care of my nephew from the time he was born for almost three years. He had to be tube fed for the first couple months, I helped with that, changed his diapers, fed him, watched him, etc. I'm good on all that for a while now. |
