Does anybody know if this site was/is meant for the U.S. only? Cause I've been noticing that this site seems to be overrun by soo many other people from so many other countries that seem to be interested in meeting American women? I can't remember if there was an option where it said what country you were from? As far as I knew... The only options on location were only within The United States of America. Most of these foreign profiles I've seen too are scams. Anyway... Is Mingle trying to expand out to the rest of the world? Or has the rest of the world infiltrated, and taken advantage of this free site?

This site has always been international. They even let Canadians on Why are the only options for locations Lived in within the states? I constantly see where they put the country where the city should be... Because it always defaults to a UNITED STATE... NOT COUNTRY. There is no option for COUNTRY. I've been on here for almost 3 years now I think? And I've never seen soo many people that don't even live within 1,000 miles from me. Aren't there sites like this in their countries? Or are they targeting Americans? Canada is one thing... I always considered it part of us anyway... Lol! But India? Russia? Africa? What are they really after? You would think they would go for someone that lives in their community... Let alone, COUNTRY. |

If you go to "edit profile" you will see a drop down for countries. There is a long list of different countries.
The way the site is set up is more geared for the states because this site is based in the states. Other countries have to adapt the best way they can to the options given. We have city and states here. Other countries may not have city and states. In other countries it is city and country. That is why it looks different than those in the states. This is an international site for all countries. There are those looking for the one just like here. There are scammers in every country but not everyone from one country is a scammer. The US may be the default since this site is based in California |

I'm not sure what you are saying wraithme ... if you update your profile the first line asks you to specify a country ... and all of them are listed.
This has never been just an American site - it is an international one. I am Canadian - my being here in no way suggests that I am 'targeting Americans'. That would be like me saying that the Americans who write to me are 'targeting Canadians'. Many of us, especially if we are in smaller centers, have difficulty finding local people. Sometimes it is just a matter of geography. |

I would rather see more from Texas because that is the parameter I've set in all of my searches. |

you just have to set it up wraith...i very rarely get anything outside the houston area, and i know there is a big dallas crowd on here too.
