The comment also invoked a quality of irony and was followed by a direct disclaimer to the press who were reporting on the event.

It would be a paranoid individual indeed who would ‘believe’ that their life was in any danger from Biden. A person of sound mind would not believe that Biden’s extremely broad generalization in a public speech made in another state was specifically directed to the individual who felt threatened.

Apparently no one has felt threatened (in Nevada or any other state) enough to put their money where their ‘fear’ is, because they would surely loose a lot of money trying to prove why there is “reasonable fear that the threat will be carried out”.

now, I guess people can make the argument that this official was actually THREATENING to threaten a republican(in general, any republican actually who asked a certain class of question)
