My 2 year anniversary is coming up! On our first anniversary I got a beautiful promise ring from him which I love. Is it a crazy idea I want to get one for him this year? Would he get made fun of by his buddies? Do guys wear "promise rings"?

Real men don't get crap given to them by their 'buds' if his lady gets him something like that. hen again it is a guy thing but what does it matter? Are they more important to him than you to let them belittle him for having a hot GF who shows she knows:heart: ?

Now I do take 'promise ring' in the context of "waiting for marriage?"

If so well remember this, it is a bug barn yard and board pig will find any reason to grunt.

OINK!drinker

Thanks for the advice! I think that's what I'll get him. I going to pick out a silver celtic knot style that is more casual wear...nothing proper or anything. More the meaning than anything else...that I really love the heck outta this guy!

Get him a Mjöllnir ring, that way if his buds give him crap he can permanently give them the symbol of a mans god on their forehead!

LOL!!!

I'm a guy and I've worn a promise ring once upon a time. My friends never bothered me but I only have REAL friends which is probably why I only have about 5. Anyway, if I were him I would love it.

I've never been into the jewelry thing so a promise ring, for a guy or gal, seems rather silly. An engagement ring is more formal, which is cool, but a promise ring just seemed cutesy immature.

After seeing an engagement ring get caught on a thresher and popping a friends finger off.....I personally avoid jewelry. Just give the dude a hickey...he will LOVE it!

But dad has come home several times with a dented wedding ring that saved his finger! :-)

No to hickeys, personally.

I've worn a ring on my left hand for almost 3 years now. I means a lot to Eileen, and it shows my love for her. Isn't that enough?

And get him the ring, he will love it.
