Weiner still sticking it out!

I knew I remembered this stick figure with an attitude from somewhere before.

Does anyone remember a few months back about a New York representative throwing a temper tantrum in Congress? Now I don't remember the details EXACTLY but congress voted no on a special program Weiner was vested in. It was revealed he had direct ties to the program financially and stood to make 1.2 million on a 7 million dollar appropriation.

When he was voted down he went into a verbal tirade and was asked repeatedly to step down from the podium and when he did he slapped the mike from the table. He didn't like not getting his way.

I swear up and down this is the guy who threw a temper tantrum in Congress. And then he tweets his weenie? Childish comes to mind!

this little fuque needs to step down. he is embarrassing himself and our congress, not like they aren't an embarrassment already!

WASHINGTON – The second-ranking House Democrat on Sunday joined the party leadership in urging Rep. Anthony Weiner to quit because of his sexting scandal, a request the New York lawmaker has sidestepped in favor of a temporary leave of absence.

The Republican Party chairman criticized Democratic leaders for not taking a more forceful stand earlier on the affair, which has overshadowed much of the legislative business on Capitol Hill over the past week.

Weiner has acknowledged exchanging messages and photos, ranging from sexually suggestive to explicit, with several women online. The latest to surface appeared on the gossip website TMZ.

The photos posted Sunday were purportedly taken in the House members' gym and show a shirtless Weiner with a towel around his waist and his hand on his crotch. In one photo he is naked and holding the towel over his crotch. TMZ said the photos were sent online to at least one woman.

Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the No. 2 House Democrat, spoke of Weiner's "bizarre and unacceptable behavior" in sending inappropriate pictures of himself to young women. Hoyer said it would be "extraordinarily difficult" for Weiner to continue to represent his constituents effectively.


In New York, foes and supporters of Weiner confronted each other.

"He's not fit to be our congressman," said Jim Scott, 61, one of about two dozen constituents who rallied in front of Weiner's office in the Kew Gardens section of Queens. "People are sick of him, especially his attitude."

Half a dozen Weiner supporters gathered a few yards away. College student Olivia Lurrie, 18, said Weiner was a good leader who made a mistake.

Weiner announced Saturday that he was entering professional treatment at an undisclosed location and wanted a leave of absence from Congress. A statement from an aide did not say where he would receive treatment or what type was involved.

That announcement came right after House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the national party head, said Weiner must go.

Weiner said at news conference last Monday that he had lied in previously saying that he had not sent any photos. Pelosi immediately called for an ethics committee investigation. But it was not until the weekend that leaders said he should step down.

Hoyer said the ethics committee process to decide if Weiner had committed an expellable offense would take time and "I really don't know if we have that time." He said he didn't see how Weiner could stay in office.

Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said Weiner should resign. "We've got important work to do and this is a ridiculous distraction," he said in an appearance with Hoyer on "Face the Nation" on CBS.

Lawmakers marching Sunday in New York's Puerto Rican Day parade were less demanding. "I think it could have been handled better," Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., said when asked whether he stood with Pelosi in calling for Weiner's resignation.

Rangel, who was censured by the House last year for ethics violations, was also asked if he thought it was a good idea for Weiner to take time off to enter treatment. "He is the one that knows the best, he and his wife," Rangel responded.

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., declined to comment any further, saying, "Those of us who have been longtime friends of Anthony are heartbroken, and I'm just going to try to enjoy the parade today."

On NBC's "Meet the Press," Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus criticized Pelosi and other Democrats for not acting sooner.

"It seemed to me that for the first 10 days in this circus ... the only job that Nancy Pelosi was interested in saving was Anthony Weiner's," he said.

That drew a sharp retort from Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., who accused Republicans of a double standard.

She said that Republican leaders didn't call for the resignation of Sen. David Vitter, R-La., when he got caught up in a prostitution scandal, and that Priebus had not publicly sought the resignation of former Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., who stepped down this year over an affair with a staffer's wife.

Wasserman Schultz said party officials initially gave Weiner "some breathing room" to reach the conclusion that he needed to step down on his own, but decided to toughen their stance Saturday after it became apparent he would not do so.

David B. Cohen, a political science professor at the University of Akron, said Sunday: "Had Anthony Weiner not been a rising star in the party and such a hero to progressives, he would have already been gone. But the fact that he is a national figure that has a national base of support bought him some time."

A leave of absence may be Weiner's only chance to rehabilitate his career, Cohen said. "Remorse isn't going to cut it in this case. Buy some time, and some time out of the public spotlight."

Sorry, I haven't been keeping up with the news. Nor have I actually read all pages of this thread. So, I don't know all the details, but I'm surprised it's got you so rattled, Andy. You usually strike me as a pretty laid back guy. But since you care so much, can I ask: What are you going to do about it?

I could care less about the peculiar peccadilloes. I'm just here for

The Liberal God himself has now spoken on this situation, Mr. Obama himself saying if he were Weiner he'd resign.

Weiner was also just granted a two week PAID leave to sex sex treatment. BS. It should be out of his pocket and at his expense, not the taxpayers.

Being now that all but a couple House members on both sides of the aisle want him gone, they should first while he's gone push a motion through to Censure him, that way ALL the members of the House can take a verbal shot at him(Which he has been doing for years on both sides of the aisle).

Second they should have an impeachment ready to file for the next day he returns if he doesn't step down.

Both of these should be done.

If I could get the people behind me to actually stand a chance of pulling it off, I would LOVE to get elected President and pull a Teddy Roosevelt on congress with two exceptions, I would speak loud and swing a big stick! The Presidential Emergency Powers Act should be invoked in a situation like ours now!

Second is I would tear into the Federal Reserve like a wolf! Now one thing I would do is pay out just enough rope that I would hang congress with, or rather I would let them hang themselves with it. Once a stare of Emergency is declared I would hold Martial Law over their heads. If congress can't get us in the black I then begin to force demands as wanted by the American Tax payer like forcing Congress to hastily vote on abolishing the Federal Reserve and re-invoke a Treasury of the United States along with a uniform tax structure. The tax structure we have now is UTTER bullshitte! No more free religion. No more corporate protection. No more speculators running rough shod over our economy. No more global Exchange screwing us at every turn. No more Mandatory Industry that allows 'For Profit' motivations to operate in ways that allow them to squeeze Americans to death like Insurance of all flavors.

And Foreign aid? NOT! And the UN can pay us rent for their building! OH, and Libya? Iran? Afghanistan? Hope the UN and China likes getting hit with the bill. Also I would hit China with a bill for N Korea too. All that aid we give them. China wants the mineral and oil rights in these countries? They can pay us for clearing the way for them!

How is that for a start?

I want to be the president who parked his azz in congress hall with a beach chair and a cooler full of refreshments for me while I had the marines maintain order in congress. I want to make 453 people miserable as hell and make Pelosi eat a whole plate of steaming SHUT THE FUQUE UP!

And all these funky Judges in Superior court? The ones who redefine laws as they see fit? Time for them to retire!

And Illegal Immigration? Now on my watch. That means any states with sanctuary cities better change their tunes or suffer treason charges (San Francisco) and that means mayors, senators, and congressmen will suffer punishment for breaking the laws under my presidency!

I wanna be President damnit. I have a damn good agenda.

First things first, I would withdraw the US out of the UN immediately and bulldoze the F'ing place.

Second I would rapidly increase out military personnel and equipment.

Then I would give more arrest powers to the Border Patrol. I would also give them at least a dozen, probably two dozen UAV's(Predators, Reapers, RQ's). The Border Patrol would have a ton of new equipment and I woul dhave a 3 tier fence built across the border. Then I would have hard time prisons built in the middle of the Arizona desert. ANYONE who is caught entering this country illegally WILL be arrested and charged with Federal Felonies with MANDATORY sentancing of hard time no less then 5 years in one of the prisons. After the sentance is served they will be deported and will NEVER be able to obtain citizenship in the US. Also if they are caught a second time the sentance would double. Also no Border Patrol Agent will be prosecuted for defending himself. I would immediately pardon the poor Border Agents who have been jailed for doing their job.

I would also increase the US Coast Guard fleet and membership to combat the increase in attempts to cross that way. THey would have all the equipment needed to detect Narco Subs as well. There would be 24/7 flights by UAV's and manned aircraft along the whole border and waterways.

Then with a stroke of the pen I would eliminate the Anchor Baby law.

Then I would address the WORLD and explain to the Muslim terrorists that if they attack us again, no matter the size that we will light Mecca and Medina up like a Christmas Tree and that a Nuclear Strike would be on the table. The Muslims worship those two cities and would not dare to mess with us if they knew we were serious about this.

Then I would reopen the CIA Prisons and Black Sites. I would also accept no peace deal with the Taliban, that would be off the table.

Then Orginizations like Code Pink will be designated as Domestic Terrorist Orginizations(being they commit massive crimes to try and get their point across, not to menton funel money to terrorist orginizations and support America's enemies financially.) Their leaders like Madea Benjamin, Midge Potts, Cindy Sheehan would be tried for treason and other criminal offenses. I would order capitol punishment on ALL treason cases. I would also let them be interrogated off of US soil by the Mossad and other allied Intelligence Agencies that use enhanced interrogation techniques. I am not against peaceful or even protesting, as long as NO laws are broken, which they manage to break multiple laws on a daily basis and violate embargos and embolden our enemies.

Not to mention that enhanced interrogations WILL BE on the table for the US to use against any enemy combatent. We will under no cirumstances publish our techniques in a field manuel for our enemies to study and find ways around the techniques.

That is just a few of the things I would do.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I would immediately reverse Mr. Peanut's(Jimmy Carters) ban on the US engaging in assasinations of world leaders. That order was complete BS.

I would also increase the size and scope of the CIA to include Law Enforcement.

I would also immediately have ALL the records on the Kennedy Assasination released, not the watered down white washed version that was put out in the 90's, to protect the living members of the Johnson administration, including the former First Lady Lady Bird Johnson. Johnson was involved. The missing documents would magically appear including the information that was withhelf from the Warren Commission, Congressional Investigation on Assasinaitons and the Church Committee. Even if it didn't point to Johnson, it would be released.

That whole situation was BS. A US President was killed and people went into cover your a$$ mode, and the whole truth was never revealled to the public.

I would also have a law created that will actually protect our women anc children. Anyone convicted of a sexual abuse of a child, rape of a child, rape in general. Sex Crimes agaisnt women and men will also be prosecuted to the max and only sentance there will be in cases like this after I get the laws done. Anyone who Sexually hurts a woman or a child will get a automatic sentance of life imprisonment.

If the victim is under the act of 8, it would be considered a capitol offence with the death penalty always on the table.
