OK, let's see......you rescued the cat. Which I commend you for. You seem like a loving, and caring pet owner. And the pic of your cat is adorable.

If you give up your cat, and move in with your boyfriend, what is the next thing he is going to ask you to give up? Maybe he won't like your friends.

Yet even if it doesn't come down to that, what if you two break up? What are you left with? No boyfriend, no home and no cat that you gave up for him.

I would suggest that you find a place that allows pets. If he is unwilling to do that, well good bye boyfriend.

Compromise is always the best route to take.

Just some thoughts I had regarding your situation.

I wouldn't tell anyone they needed to get rid of their pet! I have 6 rescued dogs 1 rescued cat and 2 Pygmy Goats. However I wouldn't like a male cat spaying on my furniture either. I met a man 7 yrs ago and he came with 4 cats and 2 dogs the cats were house outside in a pen with a screen on the top so they couldn't escape lol.

And I recently talked on the phone to a guy who told me there would be no dogs allowed in the house if he came. Being who I am and from the north but living in the south, I just said well my dogs live here and You don't! I never heard from him again. But who cares, this is my home not his and I won't be told what I can do and what I can't!

Too answer your question I would never give up cat for a man. Or any animals.Sorry they were with me from the beginning where as most men pop into my life and well never leave it. I mean what can say you can actually trust your animals or cat more then that. I mean men come and go in your life.It sound the man himself want to give up everything he does not sound liked good man. If he really want you he would get job and buy house were you could keep your cat not asked you to a move apt and what not. That is if he real man he would do that. And not asked give anything up and allow him to a attach to your wonderful cat. He does not sound good guy if he not interesting in having wonderful cat of yours. I know I would not give up or dogs that I have.

When I was a kid, I had a cat named Bandit. To me, she was the greatest cat in the world. She was all black and orange. I had her from the day she was born, since I also owned her mother, Wildfire. Bandit grew up with me from the time I was 12. she slept with me, and sometimes tried to walk to school with me. I would yell at her to go home because I didn't want her to get hurt. She went through a lot over the years. When I was around 21, I moved in with a boyfriend who was allergic to cats, so I left her with my father. I tried to visit her at least once a week but she, at some point, disappeared. I think she was mad at me, and I think she thought I gave up on her. I still feel guilty about that. There will never be another cat like her.

hi i was just told i had to choose between a guy n my cat and the reason he told me i had to is because he got an apt that doesn't allow pets well nor does where i live i have a prescription wrote up to have my cat and if i moved i would try n see if where he wants me to live would allow it but i just don't think they would but who knows but how many would give up there pet to be with someone?? or would you give up on that person n keep your pet or would you try n see if could have both???

Hi Noella,
i think its quite simple who do you care the most for ?
I personally love dogs but i,m sorry to say don,t like cats...but i know people get very attached to them so keep your cat hun its clear you love it .....
