hi i was just told i had to choose between a guy n my cat and the reason he told me i had to is because he got an apt that doesn't allow pets well nor does where i live i have a prescription wrote up to have my cat and if i moved i would try n see if where he wants me to live would allow it but i just don't think they would but who knows but how many would give up there pet to be with someone?? or would you give up on that person n keep your pet or would you try n see if could have both??? it truly depends up upon the reason (lease restrictions are a pretty good reason) and how much of an actual long term commitment we were in how does one get a 'prescription' for a pet,,,btw? its actually a note from the doc which is mainly for medical purposes which is mostly based on dogs not sure much on cats which the landlord cant say no with the medical note |

If anyone were to tell me to get rid of my two cats, He would be getting a boot out the door and never to be talked to before. Even if he were to tell me to kill the cat cuz the cat is sick with something that is treatable, he would still get a boot out the door. My baby boys mean the world for me and will continue to treat them for their conditions for as long as they are doing well, no matter how much of a pain in the butt it can be to medicate Meowgi, I'll still medicate him.

Meowgi has hyperthyroid and danielson has diabetes, but they're treatable and they are healthy otherwise. |

this is my cat Noella would you if you were me give up on a cutie like her???? she's a mommas gurl n shes been through alot already she was throwin outta two homes the kids where i live tryed to kill her when she was a kitten n men hav abused her n shes doing so good with me...  Awwww!! It's my cat's twin! NEVER choose a man over your pet. Kick him out the door and efface him from your mind. He's not worth it. My baby boy is like my child. He's spoiled and a mama's boy. He's been with me through a lot of bad crap and I wouldn't give him up for the world. |

...so, hi. =) I get the attachment to a furry creature, etc. -- those guys are the ones that will always be there for you, when the humans that you would think would be leave, one way or the other. That said, let's add something new to the mix: everything is well between the two of you re: the relationship. He/she is affected, allergy-wise, by animal hair and/or dander. Now what? Do you break simply because of a sinus onslaught? =) Just thought I'd throw that in for other opinions, and so on...talk amongst yourselves. =) Darrell That kind of thing should come up in the very beginning. I have two cats. I'd want to find out right away that someone was allergic or didn't like them, as I am not getting rid of them for a guy. If the guy is interested in dating and is allergic, there are allergy meds that can be taken. Otherwise, it probably would not work out. |

I actually don't think lease restrictions are a good reason to get rid of pets. I'd have to wonder about the person if they were willing to give up their pets that easily. It took me a while to find my current apartment because not many places allowed cats. Rather than give them up, I kept looking until I found a place where they could come along. |

But to answer your question....I have a cocker spaniel that is a resue I have had her 4 years..... If a man was to tell me that she had to go I would tell him real quick she stays see ya...  I may comprimise and not let her sleep with me but she will remain. |
