But the guys my age [50s] are having [physical] health issues or mental health issues and i still have a younger mindset. So it all depends on what each individual wants, needs and is willing to accept.

I agree with you. That's why I prefer to date men my own age in their 40s or a little younger down to their mid-30s.

In this day and age, it seems that the "till death do us part" does not hold up anymore. If a serious relationship nowadays lasts 20 years, that is pretty good.

I have a different view on serious relationships than I did when I was in my 20's. Make the best of your current relationship because you never know how long it will last. With that said, I don't see a problem with older men getting involved with a younger woman.

Even if a relationship was to only last for 5 years, as long as that relationship was a very happy one, why not? If her and I could be very happy and in love during those 5 years, that is a lot better than not being happy and in love.

It does not matter if the woman is 50 or 30 years old. When you meet "that" person, both you and her will know it. That is where all serious relationships begin regardless of age difference.

To start off, I would get rid of the word "mate". Sounds like you are talking about dogs or other animals. I think it is up to each man and woman if they want to date and if age matters. The last relationship I was in was with a man 19 years older. Not an issue.

Is it wrong for older men(50&up) to want to date or mate with
younger women.(30's or so)

Who is the judge and what is the virdict.

Maybe the question should be is it wrong for younger women to date and mate older men.

Sure, why not? We've all seen the old man with the baby-stroller & innocently complimented him on having such a cute grandchild! Hell, with my current age of 50+-something; I'd need to look at the 80 yr.old chaps to find my old man! Wow- that's just too kinky visually for even, me to imagine;}laugh

I think a man should be older than the woman no matter the age gap.
Men die quicker and women live longer so it makes sense.

It's not wrong for people of legal age to date whoever wants to date them. Anything is possible and if that's what you want to do go for it but you better be ready to get rejected more often than not.

The real question is how realistic is it for men 50&up to expect most women in their 30's to date them.

Right here, right now. There 50+ year-old men who are in relationships with 20-30 year-old women. They call it true love.

I was thinking about moving back to Canada and look for a woman a little older than me. But I reconsidered after I heard some of those women have a propensity for violence and relatives who are guns-for-hire. slaphead laugh

My ex wife was 17 years younger than her second husband. After they divorced he met and married a woman 40 years younger than him. They must be in love as they outlasted our marriage and are still going strong 3 years after our divorce. I guess if you connect age is no barrier. Now if I could just.................find a nice young lady flowerforyou

I think it makes more sense for women to be older so the relationship will last longer.

Or are you suggesting it's better for the woman because there is a better greater chance he will die before they go though an expensive divorced and have to divide assets? laugh

Nah... he meant he likes 'em young.

Studies show that one in nine girls worldwide are married before they turn 15, and one in three are married before they turn 18.
