Sheriff Joe sets D-Day on Obama's eligibility
Arpaio won't release any of Cold-Case Posse's
conclusions in advance

Sheriff Joe ArpaioFollowing a Georgia judge’s ruling that Barack
Obama is eligible to be on the state’s 2012 Democratic Party
presidential ballot, the front lines in the continuing eligibility
battle are being fought in Arizona.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told WND today his office
has scheduled a news conference in Phoenix for March 1 to
release findings of the Cold Case Posse that has been
investigating Barack Obama’s birth certificate and eligibility
to be president.

Arpaio declined to release to WND any of the posse’s
conclusions in advance of the press conference, although
he is on record saying the findings may be “shocking” to
many.

In a separate matter, Arpaio told WND that a group of Department
of Justice officials from Washington, D.C., began meeting with
officials of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office regarding the
DOJ’s allegation of systematic violations of the federal civil
rights of Hispanics.

If the negotiations fail, the DOJ has threatened to take Arpaio and
the MCSO to federal court, setting up an epic political battle just
as Arpaio prepares to issue the results of the Cold Case Posse’s
investigation.

Arpaio investigating Obama since September

Arpaio’s decision to investigate Obama follows a meeting held in
his office Aug. 17 with tea party representatives from Surprise, Ariz.,
who presented a petition signed by more than 250 Maricopa County
residents. The petitioners expressed concern that their voting rights
could be irreparably compromised if Obama uses a forged birth
certificate to be placed on the 2012 presidential ballot in Arizona
or otherwise is found to be ineligible.

WND previously reported that the tea party letter formally stated
the following charge: “The Surprise Tea Party is concerned that
no law enforcement agency or other duly constituted government
agency has conducted an investigation into the Obama birth
certificate to determine if it is in fact an authentic copy of 1961
birth records on file for Barack Obama at the Hawaii Department
of Health in Honolulu, or whether it, or they are forgeries.”

The posse, constituted under the authority of Arpaio’s office,
consists of three former law enforcement officers and two retired
attorneys with law enforcement experience. It has been examining
evidence since September concerning Obama’s eligibility to be
president under Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution.

The Cold Case Posse conducting the investigation has been
described as a “posse within the posse,” consisting of volunteers
with professional experience in conducting investigations. It includes
individuals chosen because of their professional backgrounds in law
enforcement, lawyers who have participated in criminal or civil cases
and individuals with specialized skills in fields ranging from
accounting to conducting criminal forensic examination.

The posse was constituted as a 501(c)3 organization, designed to
cost the people of Maricopa County nothing, while enabling people
from around the country to contribute to its mission.

In total, more than 3,000 volunteers participate in Arpaio’s posse
program. The power to constitute posses is authorized to Arizona
sheriffs under the state constitution.

Showdown in Arizona

Arpaio and the Department of Justice are at loggerheads over
whether the DOJ needs to provide proof of allegations that the
MCSO is guilty of systematic violations of the federal civil rights
of Hispanics.

“Prove it!” Arpaio challenged the DOJ in an exclusive interview
with WND. “If Eric Holder has evidence that the Maricopa County
Sheriff’s Office has engaged in systematic violations of the civil
rights of Hispanic, then show me the evidence.”

Arpaio has contended that the 22-page complaint the DOJ released
Dec. 15 is nothing more than anecdotal and did not prove systematic
sheriff’s department policies aimed at depriving Hispanics of their
civil rights.

Nor was Arpaio concerned that the DOJ might take him and his
sheriff’s office to federal court immediately, as it has threatened.

“If the Justice Department wants to take me to court, I’m ready,”
Arpaio said.

The sheriff said that if the DOJ “wants to debate the facts instead
of fixing the problems stated in our findings, we will do so by way
of litigation.”

I would, but it's illegal to send feces in the mail. I'm SO sick of people continuing to question President Obama's place of birth. What seems to be the problem with these people? Is Obama's skin not white enough for them?

1. Back in 1961 people of color were called 'Negroes.' So how can the Obama 'birth certificate' state he is 'African-American' when the term wasn't even used at that time?
2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961. It also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father was born in " Kenya, East Africa ". This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth. How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the "British East Africa Protectorate".
3. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital". This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home", respectively. The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?

Shortly after, President Obama released his birth certificate, long form.

Jerome Corsi's publisher was really p.o.'d and tore Jerry Corsi a new one. He said Jerome made him look like a f'ing idiot and had all 200,000 copies of the book turned to pulp.

Obama should send Seal Team Six to wax Jerome's azz.

There is no doubt in my mind that this dude occupying the white house is a fraud!

I suspect Shurf Joe is auditioning early for the lead in Fox News' production of "Don Quixote".

Or was it "Moby Birther" and the part was Capt. Ahab? Shurf Joe does kinda look like he could play a good Capt. Ahab, but then most of the stars in the Birther Kingdom could. Can't you just hear them rehearsing their lines in their little codpieces:

Dozens of courts across this country have said these allegations of Obama's ineligibility have zero merit. What makes this particular tin-plated dictator from a shithole county think he has ANY jurisdiction in this matter?

Explain the contradictory evidence on the birth certificate and the timeline of said institutions not even being in existence at the time then.

You don't know what your talking about. Sheriff Joe is running for re-election and him winning is a no brainer. Maricopa county sans some of the criminals and all of those who support criminal activity don't like him and that's about it. Explain the fact that the Birthers have not won even ONE case in even ONE court in the United States and the 'contradictions' becomes obvious-- the Birthers 'case' is a pack of Internet BS repeated ad nauseum by people who have NO accountability. They are throwing out as much manufactured BS as they can, since in places like this one, there is no burden of proof.

When there is, such as in courts of law, this manufactured garbage gets treated with all the respect it is due-- NONE.

And BTW, since when is acting as Rick Perry's bodyguard some sort of Maricopa Co. 'official business'? Again, JMO, but he's more interested in the Arapaio Brand than any kind of justice. As Frontier Lawyers go, he's not that particularly interesting.

If you look at each of the cases.....each case did not enter or present the evidence properly or establish the expertise of those giving and gauging the evidence not one stated that the evidence proves or disproves him a citizen only that those doing the presentating with the burden of proof on them didn't present it properly nor provide the expertise of those bringing the case......when the case is presented properly by the correct experts as in such case as an official investigation by the sheriff on behalf of its citizens of Arizona the outcome may change........I just do find it interest that a hospital that wasn't in existence until 1978 could have been the place of birth for Obama in 1961. Or the fact that Obama's father was born in Kenya on his birth certificate which wasn't an established name of the country until 1963 but states on a birth certificate from 1961......can you or anyone explain this without changing the histories of a country and a hospital??

Just so you know I haven't taken either side just find this information quite intersting enough to research it and find it to be true in Encyclopedia Britannica, the stated history of the hospital itself in contradiction with the released document on the White House government issued document itself......

How come these birthers never go after Washington, Adams and Jefferson? I mean all of them were born in Great Britan. I guess that would mean they must have been frauds too.

I can explain this very simply-- there are certain people in this country who will never accept the will of the people regarding this president and they will never give up as long as some court somewhere will let them continue this witch hunt. They are filled with envy and hate and see this as a way to get attention for their 'holy cause' . Like other fanatics, they can weave a tapestry of lies and conspiracy theory, but when it comes to actually proving it, they are as incompetent as they are fanatical-- the two often go hand in glove.

Boo hoo, that they didn't prove their case yet because they missed a few things or claim they didn't have the expertise. They had their day in court and they lost because when their case was taken on the merits, all they had was half-baked drivel and innuendo. Courts have routinely taken a dim view of the proverbial fishing expedition, and that's why they lost.

Even many zealous rightwingers say their case has no merit and like a demented uncle who goes around flashing people, wish the Birthers would just stop acting like a bag lady with a megaphone.

and i could care less about this debate but.

requested a birth certificate today,
would place names and terms not be
updated?

If the photo of the certificate the
actual 1st paper certificate made or
a computer copy? Do we keep paper
file anymore.

you're certificate and it was a computer
copy, like i said would everything now
be updated to account for the change in
terms and place names?

doubt it would,since the Records show those Places,and would not be changed in a Copy of the Original!
