It does seem dead lately. Wonder if it's because it's spring and people are getting outside more? I don't know.

Well it is your 4th post... try posting more in the forums and making friends that do actually come on to mingle.

Start looking through the topics in the forums and participate in the ones you find interesting. If you don't find many you like, start adding your own.

I think we all have trouble finding local people here. I have the same issue. But, for those of you who wonder if people actually meet here, take a look at this thread: http://mingle2.com/topic/show/293009.

But I have made so many friends on here, plus met my hubby. So mingle is one of the best things that ever happened to me.drool

I did find one to send a message to about a week ago. Hasn't returned it. But hasn't been on in five days either. I guess I'm use to this other site. It's buzzing all the time with local people signing in everyday. Several times a day.

The reason I am "straying" from there is because of the low quality people who come there. He (the owner of the site) is trying to make a site that has been free for years paid. Also, The great majority of people there never answer messages. Going by forum posts, I would say that over 95% of messages get ignored there. The women there seem like they have a "better than you" attitude. While the greatest majority of men are after "ONE" thing. It's a mess really. So, I am looking around in other places.

Actually; that is the case with me. Spent the last couple days outside so haven't been on here much. When it really gets warm out; will probably spend less time on here as I love being outdoors and exercising.

I fell for a woman who lives 2000 miles away. You have to accept the fact that you are dating on the internet and you might find the perfect woman for you, but she'll live on the other side of the country or even in a different country. If you are pinned down geographically, then you will probably have less luck. Regardless, the forums are the key. Make posts, respond to other people and see what happens. Good luck. drinker

It ebbs and flows around here.
Depending upon how involved you get.
Gals want to know you a bit first.
Hence, the forums.
A tool :-)

Humm I guess it all depends on how much effort one puts into things of what they get out of it.......whoa

Myself I'm here for the forums ......

What gets me are the e-mails I get where they go off how compatiable we are yet they never read my profile to find out that if they don't live within the area they are barking up the wrong tree...

Or the e-mails just say hi hope your having a good day.......humm if ya send a e-mail and it is just statements no questions you most likely want get and e-mail back duhhh...

Or if ya start off with ohh baby I think we would get along great...shshsh what I want to send back is humm one I'm not your baby and two I have a name and the reason you don't know it is cause we want get along....slaphead

All I can say is if your not getting e-mails back then one should re think what they are sending to someone in e-mail..

So what you're saying is that it doesn't matter how many people are on a site, you think most aren't going to answer anyway?

My favorites are the ones where they say "I read your profile and I really loved it! Where are you and what do you do?" Uh, that's IN my profile. If you had actually read it, you wouldn't be asking.

Lately I'm getting a lot of one-word messages: "Hi" or "hello," with nothing else. Nothing much to work with.
