Since this is a dating site some (not all) people here are looking to find a mate, partner, date or spouse.

I see many people talking about what they want in a partner, but I don't see much about what they have to offer their partner.

How would you sell yourself? What do you have to offer?

Are you a great catch or not?

I am more loyal than a basset hound.
Almost as good looking as a basset hound.
I can contribute to an intellegent conversation.
I am a good cook and better baker.
What more could a man want?

People are not aware of what they got with me until I am gone! Then reality creeps in. Where I am a lame bread winner per say I make up for it in so many other ways that the financial impact of what I offer is only part of the package. I am done being a fixer though. That skill is not appreciated too much these days. I never ever claimed I can walk on water. People seem to want that one skill more than others. I can't say what the hell I am worth though any more. I am so confused with dating and relationships anymore. The rules for one keep changing!

Not sure, but i know i bring heaps of positivity and humor to the table, if anything. My I.Q is 180. I can blow the worlds biggest bubbles. I can juggle. I write songs and poetry. I'm aspiring to manage a few rock/indie bands one day. Whether I come across as a good catch is anyones guess. lol

How many things can you juggle?

I don't offer much, as my profile says, I'm nothing more then a TV.

I'm just me. They have to get to know me and see if I'm what they want.

At least speaking for my generation of young adults, writing a profile is (almost) completely pointless. I could write, as I have in my profile, a bit about myself, what I'd like them to know without them knowing too much. But, if the physical attraction isn't there, almost every time, the profile doesn't even matter.

Let's not mention when I read THEIR profile, write them a message based on what I saw in the profile, and it's the opposite of what they want.

I don't agree that profiles are completely pointless. For me, if there's just pictures, it won't matter how hot they are. I need something else to catch my interest if I'm going to contact someone. There needs to be something more beyond being good looking.

Now, I was speaking for my generation mainly, 18-24, that's what matters to them. I know, as people get older, looks become less of a factor as they themselves age and aren't exactly what they used to be at 20.

Are the rest of us old adults?

Well it gets pretty bad when I see the ones my age with no profile, no filled out information, just a picture. I mean, really, that's all there is to offer?

So, move on to those who have something to offer?

And then what? I get the same thing from most women. I can send a decent message and still get no response.

I agree, I never found anyone under 24 easy to tag along with, they move very fast, and looks do appeal in your generation :)
