you forgot pilots and rock stars!!!
 I think it can happen with anyone ... and particularly with people who spend a lot of time together at the expense of their families or those who experience heightened emotions... Actors and actresses have to embody the emotion they are portraying. Our brains don't know the difference. That is why an athlete can run a race in his mind and have his muscles react as though it is actually happening. Sometimes it is a life of excess ... people with lots of money and power can have a sense of entitlement and don't necessarily have a lot of people saying no around them. Police or firefighters go through intense emotion in some pretty traumatic circumstances. It can leave people vulnerable. Ultimately, however, everyone makes choices and has to live with the consequences. I've never cheated and can't imagine I ever would...But I can understand how it happens

I try to think of it as: "treat other people the same way you want to be treated"... I've seen way too much cheating going on.. and I have never cheated.. ...and I was a Rock musician, too.. Artgurl.. Seven months (and sometimes more) of celibacy (in my twenties!), but lots of phone calls home..! Not all musicians /entertainers cheat, but I agree that a lot of them do... There is no "excuse" for cheating, though... Just a lot of bad reasons.. I have enjoyed all the posts you have made (that I have read)... Your partner is a lucky man! |

Some might say that the chances increase in a career that offers a greater opportunity for temptation, like show business, political positions etc.
But I believe that while someone with a disposition for cheating might be better able to control themselves given a lack of opportunity, someone who would NOT cheat won't succumb no matter how many tempting opportunities are thrown their way. |
