Thank you
For your words
That allow expression
When all else is silent contemplation
When the sun forgot to rise
And the moon only sighs
Over our human tribulation.
The magick is but legends
Uttered in ancient chords
Heard by few.

The thundering waves are calling me home, home to you
The pounding sea is calling me home, home to you

On a dark new year's night
On the west coast of Clare
I heard your voice singing
Your eyes danced the song
Your hands played the tune
T'was a vision before me

We left the music behind as the dance carried on
As we stole away to the seashore
We smelt the brine, felt the wind in our hair
And with sadness you paused

Suddenly,I knew that you'd have to go
Your world was not mine, your eyes told me so
Yet it was there,I felt the crossroads of time
And I wondered why

As we cast our gaze on the tumbling sea
A vision came o'er me
Of thundering hooves and beating wings
In clouds above

As you turned to go,I heard you call my name
You were like a bird in a cage spreading its wings to fly
The old ways are lost, you sang as you flew
And I wondered why

The thundering waves are calling me home, home to you
The pounding sea is calling me home, home to you
The thundering waves are calling me home, home to you
The pounding sea is calling me home, home to you

HOW DID THE MELODY GO ?

I frantically search for this word I know
To quaff alas my insatiable thirst
Have you seen where it might have gone to stow
Or has it abandoned hope being versed?
Oh where have you gone you treacherous word!
It is written but was never once read
And I cannot seem to find that coward
That will never have a place in my head.

Might I moist my lips with sweet nepenthe
As I forget this lost soul I once knew
Please forgive this spineless mentality
But I believe you would have done it too.

I still try remember that poignant word,
How did the melody go.. How absurd.

Beautiful words to remind what speaks to our depth, pulling us to the away.

adding to your poem

the thundering waves
often cross my path
as the thundering waves
gives me hope
as i walk the sands
and sing a tune
holding my head up
high staying strong as
i can be acceptt the fact
life is now as the future will
hold another new way
as we all wonder the play of roll
of who will come ones way
as watching the breath of
someone eyes so gleamy
and dark
but a beautiful soul
with the comfort that came to lite
no worries in all my might
sing a tune out loud
with the guarden
at your feet
