Not just for teenagers, but if you don't like living with your parents, move out, get a job, pay your own bills.

Many Older Adults live on their own, but still take Orders from their parents. Singles and even married Couples, the man still takes Orders from his mommy or visa versa.

I am seeing many older adults living with their parents. Some understandably because of a divorce which put them in the poor house but I knew of several men in their late 30s that just lived with their parents as they never wanted to leave.

I actually just did a year and a half with the 'rents not too long ago. I had a job, paid (them) rent and my bills. They were kind enough to let me stay while I was saving for and buying a house. Not everyone who lives with their parents is a slouch. I'm a homeowner now (at age 30 all by myself), and they couldn't be prouder.

Yeah, my son lives with me while they pay off student loans and save enough money to move to CA...it is good for me too!

I still live with my father (6mos. now ) :) doesnt mean I'm to lazy to find job...I live with him because he's widowed now :( but I'm ready to take off soon to find my own...just needed to spend more time with family now :)

I still live with my parents as well but that doesn't mean that I'm not responsible. I pay for rent, utilities and all the groceries which probably comes up to more than most people pay. I choose to live with them right now to better myself and my kids.

Living with parents doesn't necessarily mean one is irresponsible or lazy... At the age of 20 I bought my own house in Connecticut. I owned it for four years... then I decided to move to florida so I'm staying with my mother until I find my own spot again...

I owned it for four years... then I decided to move to florida so I'm staying with my mother until I find my own spot again... I don't think anyone is saying people are lazy for living with parents. I just pointed out its just not teenagers living with their parents; there also adults living with their parents for various reasons.

When an adult child moves out though, he/she shouldn't be run by his parents but still respectful to them.

In my mind I am referring to spoiled teens who don't work, who think they know everything and who complain about their parents not giving them a good enough allowance. Teen spoiled brats who insist that they have to have designer clothes, a computer, a cell phone, and their privacy.

I'm in the same situation as u are but I'm not planning on staying. Two full family's under one roof is too many sparks flying. My kids are being affected by all the negative attention. So sooner or later I'm out the door!

And then there's social worker's, who try to hypnotize you into thinking you're an invalid. . I felt too claustraphobic with one around. I pretended my panic attacks were gone, just so that she stopped coming to my house.

I say get the ---- out on your own leave your parents alone they took care of you long enough! Unless they ask for your help then give some help back not move in!!
