But seriously .. I already have 6 cats and they're my babies. I've always said if i had the money i'd have a massive house and be a cat foster mummy.

I have fostered three separate litters. Bottle fed from hrs old. I too wish I could have a cat rescue. It does cost quite a bit though

You Humans sure do have weird ideas about cats.

Dogs, then horses, then cats. Highly allergic to cats though. Mine were outdoor. Word got around and wound up with 9 feeding at the trough everyday. Of I also had 7 horses , 1 Hinny, and 4 dogs. Along with 4 geese. Now its just me and my three best friends, Aku, Lulu and Bella.

I have had house pets my whole life, cats, birds, dogs, rabbits, turtles, etc. I'm down to only cats these days. Lost my Clyde last year and lost my Bonnie a few months back. I still have one cat which I rescued from the streets this year. He is so funny.

Anyway, I would like to open an animal rescue shelter. No matter what you are you would be welcome. But, no money - so unless I win big - won't be a reality.

I had 7 cats but when i went to jail my dad wouldn't take them all so he only took two, i still cry about it :'(

I once wanted to open my own ferret rescue home, but like you say, it takes a lot of cash to do that. I adore animals, my favourites would be guinea pigs. I just find it so cute how they sit there, looking all lazy, and how they do that chattering with their teeth. They're very friendly. It's been twelve year since mine died, and I still sometimes get upset that they aren't around anymore. I have old photo's of them though, so all isn't lost :)

I prefer reptiles. Especially snakes. One of my favorites because of how it moves is the sidewinder. It's just cool to see the tracks they leave behind as they move across the desert. Don't think I would want one for a pet though. hahaha

Fostering animals is a great way of helping as well. If you like cats you could apply as a fostering home for an animal shelter. Help them socialize, bottle feed them If you feel brave or take care of cats that are in terminal stages so they feel loved and nurture on their lasts days. I have done that for over 10yrs now and it has always bring a great happiness into my life. I have also fix straights, socialized them and get them houses. There's a lot you can do even with little to no resources all that it takes is will and love for animals.
