Would you date someone, who has their aunt lived with her and she is confied to a wheelchair. What would you do if you fell in love with the lady that you are dated? It would be like a pacakage deal but you wouldn't be support her. Tell the truth, but please be nice about it. Thanks

Uh, how would that be any different than a woman who has a disabled child living at home?

if the two of you are only dating, then it's no big deal, she is just one of your family members and i'm sure it would be a pleasure knowing her...

now, if she and i happened to fall in love and had plans for the wedding and living happily ever after..........well personally, i would be calling up a couple of friends of mine, that have carpentry skills, and we could get started on building the ramp out to patio, at my place....

All I can say is, you can't help who you love. You just love them and do what you need to do to make things work. Might seem like a lot of work, but then the good things in life usually do take a little bit of elbow grease to make work.

She ask for a honest answer argo. Not a brown nose golly good guy BS. Honestly it really would depend on Aunt, her special needs and the extent of her capabilities/disabilitys and your ability to provide for those needs. Most importantly it depends on the relationship between the Aunt and yourself. If you care for her and she for you then of course break out the toolbox. That is what you do without question for those you care for. And you must be HONEST with yourself and know your own limits of what you can or can not handle. For example if you are one of those sqeamish girlie men that can't pick up after a puppy because you "can't handle the smell" then you probably should have thought it through a lil more before you put in the wheelchair ramp for the hateful aunt that hates your girlie man guts. And expressing her feelings of bitterness with a range of obscenitys that would shock any shore leave sailor as she intentionally dirtys herself simply to watch you gag as you clean it as she and she expresses her equally descusting opinions of you. No. In reality it would depend on more than brown nose good guy BS answer. No pun intended. I hope everything goes well for everyone involved. And for those that think my example was abit much. Grow up and think before you pick up your toolbox. That was a true story except it wasnt someones aunt. It was my amazingly patent friend that cared for his deteriorating father for the last 3yrs of his life.

If I fell in love and I believed the she loved me back then I'd want to take over her care, if she were kool with that, and alter my life to include her.

Everyone has history and a family. Some family members are different from others. You just take the situation, whatever it is, as a package and deal with it. You are either happy or not. Every situation has pluses and minuses. What you see as a minus might actually be a plus.

Argo and JackTrades among others here are great guys that would accept and deal with situations like a dependent elder of the family. While the one post is a graphic it is truthful some seniors can be brutal on relationships. Real life is not for Sissies. If you think you can't hang it is always better to be honest about it.

Thanks Guys. You really wouldn't have to do anything for her,She does need help in and off of the car. She does a lot of stuff for herself. What I wanted to know if you met me on a date and you asked me about my family and I told you about her. Would you want another date or not???

I agree with a lot of this, but for me the most important would be the relationship dynamic between the girl and the aunt, does she resent taking care of her? do they get along well? things if this nature, the second would honestly depend in what type of future I wanted, meaning if I wanted kids and a steady home it probably wouldn't bother me, however if I was looking for someone to travel the world with me I would move on because than we wouldn't be compatible.

My aunt and I get along fine. We've always been best of friends. We've been together since 2002, before she ended up in the wheelchair. All my kids have families of their own. I'm looking for My Forever Last Love.

I don't see why not. That wouldn't bother me at all but there isn't much that can put me off if I like somebody.

If am in love with and she is in love with me, well that is all that matters, I will gladly alter my life to accommodate her's and about all make her the envy of any woman that comes across us.
