This is not a man's world as people would have you believe.

In Canada, some quarters have the pink breast cancer ribbon on it. What the *beep*?! People care sooo much about breast cancer but not prostate cancer or colon cancer.

When it comes to clothing and shoes, women have many more options in terms of style and colour.

Mothers are favoured in child custody court cases.

If you see a woman crying, you'll probably feel sorry for her and want to comfort her. If you see a man crying, you'll probably feel uncomfortable and not say much and not want to touch them.

Women need to stop complaining when something doesn't go their way!

Wow just wow ....

First of all I don't like to be generalized when some have no clue....

All women have not had it so easy they have fought for what they wanted or needed...

If I saw a man crying I would in fact stop like most that I know would...

It is women that have fought for the Breast Cancer funds...

Just shows maybe more men need to step up to the plate for foundations for prostate cancer.... As far as colon cancer that effects both men/women...

I will agree that mothers are more favored in child custody cases... And for many years that was due to the fathers did not fight for them...Another place more men need to step up to the plate...

Not all women complain when things don't go their way... Many of us are strong enough to take care of the things we need done or fight for what we believe in..

What gets me more is for someone to complain about others with no clue of what is really happening....

As far as a man's world why should it be only a man's world....women have for many years stood behind them now they are being noticed as working just as hard... This world belongs to both Men/Women no one has done it alone without the other...

Worse, men are biologically more susceptible to environmental pollutants. We are 2/3rds more likely to be born prematurely, face a 30% higher chance of death by our 1st year, more prone to neurological disorders like autism, more likely to be affected by the 2 most common forms of cancer for both men and women and more likely to suffer heart disease. Out of 72 common causes of death, women lost out in only 6. We also do not live as long as women if we live out our lives to the end. One thing though, we are way better than women at committing suicide and have a greater chance of being murdered and dying in accidents.

Very well said.

Might I ad than men also get breast cancer, possibly not as often but they do. Also, if the father wants to raise his children then prove it and FIGHT for the right to do just that. I have seen many women and men getting custody of the children they are incapable of raising for one reason or another and mainly because the other parent didn't bother to fight for their rights.

This OP is just one more post that shows the closed minds a lot of individuals have these days.

Instead of whining about it here in the forums, go out and do something about it..Just My Honest Opinion

Just checked out your profile Mandy...Now I have a better understanding of where you are coming from...Sounds like you are too young to understand this, but the reason you feel the way you do is because women like me, Missy, TxsGal, and Yellowrose helped pave the way for our future generation sisters to have a better (more equitable) life...Women's suffrage "IS" ongoing and the achievements are gradual...We didn't even have the right to vote until 1920 when the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution was passed....

I'd have a LOT to say about this but.. I believe Txs pretty much covered all the bases.. and throw in Leigh's added words of wisdom.. that about sums up what I'd have to say..

however I WILL add.. if I saw a man crying..?? I'd do what I could to help or comfort him.. as I would ANY living soul!

Like was said: maybe men need to step up themselves? Which raises the next issue: maybe men don't feel comfortable about this. Women in general are more open. Apart from that, losing a breast leaves you deformed and visible for everyone to see.

When it comes to clothing and shoes, women have many more options in terms of style and colour.

Ever thought of the reasons for this, if it is true that is, which I doubt, with the exception of colour. Did it cross your mind that men in general probably don't feel attracted to polka-dots, flowery patterns etc., and clothing in all colours of the rainbow?

Mothers are favoured in child custody court cases.

That DOES mean they have 24/7 responsibility and care for their children, where men that don't have every evening and most weekends to themselves, won't have to juggle with their jobs when the child is ill, has school holidays, wakes the mother up at night. And what if the mother-with-children gets ill herself?

If you see a woman crying, you'll probably feel sorry for her and want to comfort her. If you see a man crying, you'll probably feel uncomfortable and not say much and not want to touch them.

Again, did you think this through? Most men don't want the fuss when they're ill or upset. Women are different when it comes to this, hence we also approach, comfort and touch them.

Women need to stop complaining when something doesn't go their way!

I think you need to read up on differences between men & women in behaviour, needs and wants before posting something like this.
And bear in mind that we don't need more gender bashing, we need to start thinking "equal" and NOT equal as in we can / should do the exact same things, cos we may be equal, we are NOT the same. And we aren't meant to be the same either. We are meant to complement each other. This means we need to start respecting each other and each other's qualities, not start another era of gender-bashing

being favored in court custody cases is like saying women have it better because they get to CARRY the child

yes, a blessing, but no cake walk or 'reward' for certain,,,

men don't need many options, all they are required to do is have an earned income and be of average intelligence or charm,,

women need to be beautiful at all times, while carrying children, while running a household, while tending to their partner , when sick, when tired, and still be seen as adults who should therefore 'work' at a job to earn an income

if that's easier,, Ill take harder anyday
