Since my surgery there is one thing i've found that i have (TIME)!! I have therapy on Tuesdays and Thursday every week so how far can i travel? I've met one very nice member here on Mingle and don't mind a little road trip to meet more!! That's the difference between (participation or just texting) I've got a year for participating maby more until recovery is achieved (if ever) until then i would rather get from behind this screen,off my donkey, and LIVE until i'm Dead!! My idea to meet not die texting others all the time is at least (Trying)! What's your Idea of Life being on here? Penpals is not my idea of Living!! Who Knows? I may like the climate better where you are than Here? As i am looking at my account on mingle there seems to be 3 people that want to meet me on here? I would be willing to meet a mingler in person. I've met people from other sites and had a generally good experience doing so :)

I did meet someone. We met at a coffee shop. She showed up 30 minutes late. She didn't have a good excuse for being late. I was pretty angry. I was ready to walk away but I had traveled so far to meet up. We just had coffee and talked. I forgave her for being late but we didn't have any connection and that was the end of it.

We have LOTS of Nigerians.

I've met about fifteen or so. We get together in groups about once a year and party. There are always new faces.

I'm willing to meet people from this site after getting to know them a bit through mailing etc. However, i think i have a bit of a problem when there is a really big distance between us. i would probably try to meet someone from Europe (as I am from Europe), anyone from a different continent would probably have to come to Europe for the first date... (although i still like to think that "true love" knows no obsticles)

When i had a profile on a national dating site i actually met quite a few people -- they were all interesting, some in positive, some in a bit funny way... I'm only willing to meet people with whom we have developed some positive knowledge, communication and interest through mails, chat, phone, but it is true, as someone before said, no matter how good feeling and communication is, meeting in person gives you that ultimate feeling of what is possible or not...

@ Tessa...I think that's a fair deal and totally agree with you - after all this is a dating site and in the end you do want to meet the people in real life. It's all about not having too many expectations and then it goes fine usually....and through some mails back & forth you can sort out a little.
