What informed the name? Is there any reason for naming it "kush"?

My pet Missy, who is a female miniature schnauzer, already had her name when I adopted her from an animal shelter. The name seemed perfect for her, so I did not change it! I did not want to confuse her by calling her by a name she wasn't used to. happy

My cat Homer, was a stray tuxedo kitten I found in the Subway parking lot in the next town over while I was eating my sub in the car.

He ended up walking over and was just walking by. When I opened up the car door and asked him if he wanted to go home with me?

He looked over to the west toward where he was walking, and then looked at me and jumped in the car. Rode home with me curled up in my lap, and that's how Homer got his name. He's been my little Homey for 2 1/2 years.

my dog sergeant was named for my brother's military rank. we thought it would be funny if people said say hi to sergeant, and we say the two legged one or the four legged one.

My fur buddy's name is Sassy which is a Cocker Spaniel. She was a rescue, actually had found a few names I wanted to call her.. But......seems every time I would call out Sassy she would turn her head and look at me as if it rang a bell....And she would not even acknowledge the other names I would call out. So Sassy it was and it fits her pretty good. She was approximately 7months - a year old when she was found. Puppies are easier to give a name too for it is the only one they have had and get us to it...

I thought of a term that my kids used too much that I thought was out-dated when talking to each other, but still would make a good pet name. And ever since they only use it when they are talking about our dog or calling him. He is a Pug who thinks he is the size of Godzilla and his Name is "DUDE"

Nothing spectacular. The ex named her Ginger, right before we called it quits. I rescued her from a puppy mill. Half dead with worms and pink eye. I think her first dump was all straw and worms. She slept on my chest for 48 hours and didn't know how to drink water. She was 5 months old, and it was a cold week in March. She's a rough coated(wired)Austrailian Terrier.

My dog's an American Eskimo. In Inuit (the language of Eskimos), "Tikaani" means "wolf". He looks like a little white wolf.

His name was great 'til the one day I met the most perfect specimen of a Husky I've ever seen...

...whose parents had named him "Tikaani"...and then said, "OOOOOoooo...your little dog's so cute!!! What's his name?!?"

embarassed

love it. we used to have a pitbull named Rocky for the movie boxer. when my brother got a mate for him we debated what to name her. I said the obvious, Adrienne.
he didn't like it. we thought rhoda, like rocky road.
he ended up calling her beautiful in Spanish.

I had dogs, Artemis and Apollo. Named of course after the mythological twins. Then just this year, though my darlings were gone now, I named Astrid and Felicity. From the movie How To Train Your Dragon and from the tv series Arrow.

Research that name before naming your pet that , especially since you profess Christianity!
