I'm really not sure what exactly IS a "mama's boy"? It seems everytime I hear it,it always sounds like it's something negative,we only have one real mother, and personally,I feel we're suppose to love her to death and at times pamper her ECT as well ,I'm thinking that's what you call a "mama's boy",(correct me if I'm wrong),I really don't quite understand the full meaning and why it's frowned upon in such way,I don't mean if you're a grown man and lives with your mom,but can you people help out with this one,I'm lost!slaphead

Most women want a man....not a guy that's gonna run back to mama for comforting...not many women will tolerate a third person in their relationship....especially his mother...

Ok I understand what you're saying, but to me it makes no sense, because when those same women have a son/sons they're going to feel the same way,and not because you love your mother it means you are not a man and you're goin to run back to her,I don't feel your love for your mom should have anything to do with your love for your woman, unless she's interfering with the relationship!

Because "Mama's boy" is actually a "Nice Guy", which means they are resentful, controlling, manipulative, and evil. (I know I am a "nice guy", but I am learning how to become a MAN). Yes to love your mother is right, but to be monogamous with your mother is NOT.

A pharmacist tells a customer, 'In order to buy arsenic you need a legal prescription. A picture of your mother-in-law just isn't enough.

I guess its all about letting go of the apron strings....some guys cant do that or their mama has nurtured them to be dependent on her....these ones are always gonna damage your relationship with your partner......If your a bird and never leave the nest how you gonna fly?

Okay, I'm gonna stop you right there. I'm a mama's boy and proud of it. I'm 19 and live with my parents still. We come from a matriarchal home. My great grandmother is the head of the family. She only sees men as the ones who pay the bills and carries the shopping bags. Now, I love my mom, she loves me. The thing is, most girls get jealous over that, they want to be the only woman in "their" man's life. But if you've seen the old Wyatt Earp movie, you know that "Blood is family. All others are strangers. Wives may come and go. Blood is thicker then water." And all that Jazz. I say, if she can't get along with my family, I'm a part of that family and that means she's not getting along with me. Also, I see different levels of "Mama's boy-ism", if he's brushing her hair and she is not in a body-cast, that is too far, a 5 out of 5. I say I'm a 2 or 3 out of 5.

Yep,that's true, but alot of times people leave go out on their own ECT,but it's not the easiest thing to not love and appreciate them to the fullest when you know how hard it was especially as single parent,I'm talking about going through thick and thin, and the sacrifices she had to made ECT,I'm not going depend on her ,but will dam sure be able to depend on me,but I get you saying though, make sense!
