Is time travel possible... As far a Davidben1 can SEA?

it didn't seem like it had anything to do with time travel...
Moe do you think they actually time-travelled on the USS Eldridge, like they showed in the film about it The Philadelphia Experiment?

no, it was a shielding/radar experiment... nothing to do with time travel at all...
There was a video on Disclosetv, where the crew-mates on board that ship were embedded in the hull and decks of the ship. Doesn't sound like a shielding/radar experiment to me? Something more sinister i think?

people died, but the experiment was trying to shield the ship from enemy radars... the rest was made up for movie purposes... the navy never disclosed publicly what really happened...

They could now, saying that the biggest majority of the people involved are either dead, or in their 90's, saying it happened in 1943? The UK, are opening up a lot of secrets these days, that were from back then, why not the US government also?

I think John Hutchison bought-up all this equipment that was on-board this ship.

Just go to YOU TUBE and search 'Hutchison Effect.'

No altering of time though.

They travel in time every week on Dr Who.

I'd like to believe it is possible. Stephen Hawkin set up an experiment a few years ago - invited a time travellor to visit him the day before he sent out the invitation. No visitors. Sad.

You are living in the timeline where he was visited. You are not in the timeline where the time traveler showed up!

try this gem: some years ago, carl sagan aimed the space telescope to that point in space where the earth was 50 million yrs ago, and wherein it took 50 million yrs for the light image to travel to where the earth was at the then current time, and he filmed the Cambrian explosion. the white house at the time had to impound the film because you cant offend the beliefs of the religious crowd with all of the stuff and nonsense that they choose to believe. now that sagan is dead, his foundation is aiming the telescope in space to attempt to trace the trajectory of the incoming, so we might see its source, and perhaps identify if there where other outgoings from there, to see where we may have cousins. the point of the moment is that if the light image traveled the speed of light for 50 million yrs to get here for us to film, that means that we exceeded the speed of light to be here to receive the image when it arrived. that sounds suspiciously like time travel to me.

Dear Bobspock,

There seems to be a general consensus among Creationests, (Me Being Among Them) that when God Almighty created the Universe, the Earth, and All therein, that a good-many things were already created with a seemingly pre-aged state.

Case in point; Adam, the first man was fully an adult with all of the manly features that One would assume an adult, functioning male, would have. We know for example that it takes time for hair to grow, but it's generally assumed Adam had a head of hair and likely a beard, too. (One Small Example)

What is to say that God Almighty didn't just 'will' the continuum of light, in its general progression, of its mere 186,000 Miles per second of speed, through space?

so did Sheldon and Leonard, when they signed the roommate agreement...
that was sad as well...

Time travel is only possible in theory...

if light takes 50 million years to get to us, how is that time travel?

i don't think it's possible in theory, either... unless it's a dimensional thing...

You must have misunderstood. We didn't exceed the speed of light. We can't see ourselves "back in time" in that way because light travels so much faster than we do.

Apparently, light travels at about 186,000 miles per second.

If One was able to travel faster then the speed of light, then hypothetically You could catch-up to the light that has been dispensed from a past event. Thus, recording an event as the light from that past event catches-up to You (The Observer) again. The only problem is, You still wouldn't be able to do anything about the event that You've perceived again. You'd only be able to see the event again as it occurred in the past, countless billions of miles back from the said event's original location.

We all time travel each day. The unconscious mind travels back nd forth through the past/present/

if it was! the first place I would go back in time to.... would be the day right before the first Thanksgiving..
. you know the one with Columbus pilgrim rock.... I would go into the Indians chiefs. Lodge... the night before . the pilgrims Thanksgiving dinner... to say thanks for all the Native Americans help...
. and I would smoke the peace pipe with the chief.... and then I would tell him... what future generations of white men... are going to do to future generations of his people.... then the next day..
... I would find a nice spot... a little ways away from the Thanksgiving table..... and just sit there waiting to see what happens.... when the Chief and his warriors show up for dinner...

.. just love . stirring the pot..lol

. it comes over the wire into the office..... then to editing.. then to the lawyers..... then back to the editor..
then to me...... I make my changes..
. then it goes back to editing.. back to the lawyers..... back to me.. and then to you... so yes sometimes some things get overlooked..lol
