which life is more beautiful married or single?

Well .. maybe I'm being overly romantic .. when you are talking about empowered people .. a healthy, loving and caring relationship can offer the best of both worlds .. being single can not offer both ..

Doesn't mean to say you cannot be happy and enjoy being single .. If you cannot be happy and empowered on your own, you cannot have that relationship either .. So sometimes we need to be single .. for a while, in order to learn, to grow, to become empowered .. so we can be a good partner .. to ourselves and another

Ohhhh.. I am so loving being single..
. don't get me wrong being married was "great".. and if I could change a few things! and do it over again I would....BUT. I really enjoy not having to answer ,or worry about somebody else.. not having to worry about what I do, and how it may affect them...
...and... I can get the whole pizza made the way I like it.... instead of half their way .!!!..and have my way .

I used to think that getting married again (or even living together) was what I really wanted. Now, I'm not seeing that as an ideal. I love being in a relationship and all the wonderful stuff that goes with it but I also love coming home to my own space, with my own stuff, to do my own thing. This is really ideal for me. We can get together when we choose, have a great time and have time on our own without having to retreat to the den, mancave or basement to recharge. He is close by so no problem being spontaneous. Yup, this is working great!

These things take time .. Only very recently I'm beginning to feel I'm getting over that, the fear of losing my freedom (again!). For a long time I subconsciously felt like "Never again, f*** that!!!" ... at the same time still hoping to find and looking for the right partner ..
Do you feel the incongruity there? lol. Like two misaligned cogs .. Wanting it all in a way, but not being able - or willing - to give all ..

So I'm now slowly moving from "I want the whole pizza made the way I like it!!!" ... to "I don't want to eat pizza on my own anymore!! And I'm willing to share!!" .. and guess what: you can order or make two pizzas so both get what they want ..

Big change .. and I'm chit scared .. but .. danged if I'm going to eat pizza on my own the rest of my life! Got to the stage where that "pizza the way I want it!" doesn't really taste so good anymore ..

Being single means you always get in a cold bed.
If you have a partner and go to bed late its already warm:smile:

After a long marriage, that didn't feel long at all, and ended so suddenly and painfully when death did us apart, I can honestly say I have no regrets. Last few years of our lives were hard. No matter how someone's body and soul are strong, when health ties the person's hands and one becomes periodically fully dependent on the help of others, it becomes very hard for both partners to carry that burden.
Love wins when making a decision to stay and let career opportunities go. So, it comes with a high price, but everything in life comes with a price, doesn't it? We made our choices together, been through good and bad and then some, but without regrets. Actually, I felt a relief after his soul left an exhausted body and hoped it was the end of a pain and suffering.
At first single life felt so empty, pointless and meaningless, but I moved on step by step, day by day, month by month... and learned more about myself and others. I learned that not everyone who helps you is your friend and not everyone who (un)intentionally fails to do so or does the opposite is your enemy. I learned that past is a foundation for the future I am building now. My new wings are strong and still growing, so I can spread them fly again.
Life is a journey and it can be much more fulfilling with the worthy companion. Sometimes it is good to be single to let past settle, which allows us to open our eyes and our hearts and see ourselves and the world with a deeper insight. We can understand and accept others to the exact degree that we really understand ourselves.
So, single or in relationship again? I have chosen to try meeting someone special and make the journey of life more meaningful for both of us. If I do not meet such a person, it means nothing has changed. At least I tried, so there will be no regrets later. So what happens happens...

Who would miss that? Nobody. It seems that you already know how to recognize the warning signs, so trust yourself, not what anyone else tells you. Who dares wins. You go girl! ;-)

Being single is fun, and I enjoyed it, being able to do what I wanted to without having to check with someone..though there are things I wanted to do that needs approval from my parents which is grrr.lol...now, at the end of the day after a long workday I long for someone to snuggle in front of the tv..and my dog doesn't count...I'm hoping to get married, dunno what lies ahead but I think I could be happier feeling that safety, that someone have my back and always there for emotional support and companionship...

But in the end being happy is in my own skin and loving the life I have is my ultimate goal..
