I like astrology, star signs etc. But most people focus on other's star-signs, esp in the dating scene, what's compatible with them and what's not.
I used to do so as well, but not so much anymore, well, it has changed.
Thing is, most people know what their sign stands for, and that's it. But it's not a static thing. What's the point of embracing, sometimes maybe even bragging, about the good sides of your sign, and being narked - or ignoring - the negative sides?
Thing is, each sign has both + and - in it .. and each sign hold lessons that can be learnt, if you choose to. In a way it's almost a challenge, to 'conquer' the negative trades, so you grow as an individual. That's what these trades are there for ..

For instance, Taurus is said to be stubborn, hate change, be extremely bossy and jealous. Now you can accept that and whenever you feel jealous / stubborn / resisting / stuck say:
"Oh well, can't help it, I'm a Taurus"
Or force it upon another, i.e. your partner: "Deal with it! I'm a Taurus!! It's the way I am, I can't help it!"
Meaning you don't do anything to grow ... and make it someone else's problem.

Or you can think "Hmm .. I don't like feeling jealous/stuck/resisting" and work on the causes of these feelings. That way you do grow, feel better, more stable and .. you become a nicer partner, friend etc. etc.

The reason I'm posting this, is it intrigues me.. I'm a Taurus, but I feel like I've almost 'outgrown' my star sign? Really weird ... Up to the point that I addressed the issue with my mom the other day, because I was seriously doubting being a Taurus, lol .. began to think my mom had lied about my date of birth, haha.

I think other aspects in my horoscope are rapidly evolving, growing

As for an astrological match with a man .. not a clue .. Maybe that's changing as well?

I don't believe in them but they interesting to read about. I'm an Aquarius but I don't fit the profile of what an Aquarius is supposed to be. Chinese zodiac signs are also fun.

seems... I get along with the women in some signs more then I do the man that they say are compatible with me ... I like looking at the sky trying to find the stars and planets that aline to make ...such as Orion's belt... and shooting stars the moon and the sun and clouds ... I love the Universe maybe becouse it gives us life on earth ... and as far as being a Sagittarius ...I am well aware of my good side and aware of my faults... and as in a man in a relationship sign I have been in ... I understand I want something complete different now...
since I have grown but will I find that or look for that in someones sign have know idea. and as far as Horoscopes some days can be right on others no way ... and don't follow them ... but fun to see sometimes ... I have been now more into the animal guides and nature ... then any of the others stuff ...I have been known to look at or have ...

You'd have to get an entire horoscope to see where that influence is coming from.. Some aspects may enhance another, some may decrease another aspect..

It can be a lot of help, esp in a relationship. I'll give you an example. My Venus is in Aries. Aries is pretty direct, so I'm pretty direct when it comes to love, sex. (Ok there's much more to Venus etc. but the abridged version).
When it comes to sex, this is spot on. My ex's Venus was in a far more 'sensitive' sign, meaning he needed time, build up. He could easily require 4 days before engaging in sex. Or longer (not kidding).
Needless to say didn't really work out to well, not for me and not for him.

My Moon is in sensitive, intuitive Pisces. A man with a very 'logical', rational planet in his Moon, is likely not to compute with me .. although the right sign could be a very good 'counterweight'.
Being sensitive and intuitive is not a lesson to overcome, it is who I am ..

So horoscopes and astrology can give a tremendous amount of insight in dynamics..
Proper astrology requires a lot of psychological knowledge, is part of the study if you want to become an astrologist.

I've found it to be extremely accurate IF you have a good astrologist to explain everything.

I can honestly say,that the traits of signs are very real,not always accurate,some more than others ,and there's alot of things that influences that,could be as simple as being born on the corps,if that's the word,it's when you where born while one sign is going into the next,and sometimes the person may never know this ,I've studied it for at least 25 years,just the basic part of it(people and their signs)and I've noticed that for example,some people born in early October have Scorpio traits,while it's true to a degree,there's no limits as far as to say,this sign can't work with that one ECT!!

I won't even allow Gemini people inside my home.

It's 'only' my rising sign, but I got a lot of Gemini qualities, so much so that it sometimes doesn't work so well with Gemini. Too similar. With women that is, don't know about men .. as that's a different dynamic

Palmistry is far clearer for self knowledge.

Palmistry is indeed very interesting as well, but far more difficult to get into on your own without any training than astrology.
I was having a bit of fun with palmistry the other day with my son and his girlfriend. And was rather shocked to see that my son's palm is almost identical to mine .. Surely a trained reader would be able to see and explain differences, as we are two unique individuals, but it was striking nonetheless.

I wouldn't say one is "better". All roads lead to Rome .. It's personal preference, what feels good to one, may not feel right for another ..
