Ladies do you like these men? Would you put up with a man who wasn't?

I'm not a lady...but I think the term Genteman, can mean different things to different people.

I'd wager that the biggest fluctuations in meaning would come from those in varying decades.

if you ask a woman in her 60s what a gentleman is, and you ask a woman in her 20s you may get some overlap, but id bet the answer would be mostly different.

so what to you is a gentleman?

Gentlemen: polite, courteous, respectful. It doesn't really change over time. I don't see it changing as I grow older. It has more value.

A gentleman in my book simply means a man that is considerate towards a woman's needs and wants.

Here's what am thinking right now, there's the "gentleman",and there's the "nice guy",now I'm know expert here nor I claim to be,but I think a gentleman and a nice guy, maybe the same thing,I think,NOW,how many females really WANT a "nice guy"?Oh sure, they'll tell you that's what they want, now I do think the more settled women would prefer the gentleman!!!

OP sometimes you can tell either the nice guy or the gentleman...
before you even know them a 100%... mainly when your out and about their kind and courteous to everyone ... a pleasure to be around ...

the simplistic definition is basically considerate and mannerable,,,

but for me,, its nice guy with an added element of confidence and swag,,,,,without stepping over into arrogance,,,

and that's a VERY SEXY balance when a male figures out how to find it,,,,

My understanding is that "gentlemen" characteristics are important, but particular ones will be more important for each individual. Holding the door and paying for dinner versus communication and understanding. Will vary .... winking
