I'm so prepared to see a bunch of platitudes like, "I have no time to hang around. I'm outta there." or "There's plenty of fish in the ocean." I think to deny that sometimes we have longing beyond common sense in matters of the heart is dishonest. Also sometimes there is something to be said for persistence and tenacity. It's not being a doormat either. It's more like waiting or proactively demonstrating to "them" what they are missing. That mutual feeling when someone finally "gets it" is incredible! In the case of pre manogamous dating then yes.These days It may not be uncommon to date someone that is also dating many people before they enter into monogamy (For argument sakes) If your one of the front runners and your falling for her and her you and others, then pursue? So you pursue,one guy doesn't have the stomach for it and drops out.The 'main guy' meets someone else. So now you have finally entered into a monogamos relashionship by default. What do you think? a win is a win. Its a pretty common scenario now adays. The gorillas in the tryst..lol sounds like a good porn title. seriously I know many woman on here have said before: "If he's dating someone else then he's not that interested in me"  I think thats what dating is for? (described above) It doesn't fit my character eigher though. I loved the answers on "how do you say goodbye" Expresing ones method Is cool but what a bunch of BS if I ever heard it. As long as a continuing friendship is OK with both parties I see no harm in it. It is a good idea to set boundaries tho' whether it's "not being around" or whatever because those old ties can inhibit the chances to form new intimate bonds no one wants to make love under the exes' pictures ...lol

true dat! I would never want to be second choice. In the past I have confronted all at one time or another when I've felt pushed away and then they come back to you. I guess its our ego and good common sense as what self respecting person would want someone else that was reasently rejected from someone else. especially if she was with you to begin with. with horns like that you'd NEVER be the 2nd choice

Many people go through their fair share of joys & heartache in life...makes many learn & grow...happend to me too & people come & go....but at one stage in a mans life there can be no woman who can ever weaken him emotionally....perhaps sexually too.... except for that 1 woman that can actually bring him to he's knees be careful of the ones who leave their leather gloves on in summer AND outside of the gym

Does anyone here know exactly what they want, when they first start communicating with someone of potential interest. If they did, those people would not be here, nor would they ever have to look for a partner again in life. Be real about life's and expectations. No one wants hurt feelings, but we all have gone through it in the past. |
