I have never been shy when someone catches my eye. I will wait for their interest to begin and then let them know I am interested. Is a woman who knows what she wants appealing or scary? Do other women do this?

I think showing what you want is for the best, not wasting time.

I think it's nice, although I do wonder if she's just a very friendly chick or if she really is interested.
It's hard to tell sometimes but that's what makes it exciting I suppose.

Oh ya sure. It happens to me daily.

I'm too old fashioned for that, also that kind of forwardness is much more a personality trait...ladies who can do it were also the ones who were the girls in the playground organizing the games & picking team mates, & the ones at college being the president of clubs & such. Naturally outgoing from the start.

I feel like just posting a personal ad/OLD profile is as much as I can do to let men know I am available & then I should just wait & see (NOT similar to a trapdoor spider LOL!). Unfortunately I've been doing a lot of waiting & almost no seeing...

It's far better than women not knowing what they want, being forward. However there is such a thing as too forward. Some know what they want and persist in getting what they want even when the other person doesn't necessarily want what they want and has made it clear that they want the opposite of what they want ( for example restraining order) .

The "chase” is fun, but I get bored too quickly. I want to know the real person beneath the wooer/hunter.

why don;t people just be themselves. we can't appeal to everyone. just be as forward or shy as you really are and you will find someone who likes that kind of person.

No one really appreciates finding out that someone is totally different than how they initially present themselves.

I find more often then not that when I like a guy and don't approach them that they were interested in me as well..I have a bad habit of seeing guys that caught my eye... out with other women and then I tell them I thought they were cute..basakwards but someday I will get it right...lol.. drinker

On Mingle there is a block button for the over zealous/stalker. Use it when required. pitchfork
