what about that plane crash incident where they had no choice but to eat the flesh of their dead co-passengers...

good question . I would see it as survival with no choice and choose life. I would not choose to do it.

Just as I would not choose to eat a pig as Swine and Humans internally are very similar so eating pig to me is Cannibalism.

Science is now raising pigs for organ transplants for hearts , livers, kidneys, lungs as our bodies will accept them. I know of no other animal this is true from. So maybe we evolved from pigs?

lol... i knew George Orwell had the right idea... haha

maybe that's why the demons were banished into the pigs that ran off and committed suicide...lol...

i never did subscribe to having evolved from apes... but pigs... lol...i doubt evolutionists would argue in favor of that...

This would be the exception, not the rule.

Even the Quran gives concession to eating that which is normally forbidden if life-and-death circumstances must be endured.

It's been long-known that organ transplants from Pigs have had favorable results.

Again, this will fall into the category of what One must do to survive if necessity is placed upon One.

Halal is an Arabic word that means “permissible.” In terms of food, it means food that is permissible according to Islamic law. For a meat to be certified “halal,” it cannot be a forbidden cut (such as meat from hindquarters) or taken from a forbidden animal (such as pork.)

Under the halal code, animals are supposed to be killed quickly with a single sweep of a surgically-sharp knife; they should not see the knife or witness the death of other animals.

However, hidden cameras in this slaughterhouse appear to reveal workers hacking and sawing at the animals’ throats with apparently blunt knives. In one instance the killing cut, which according to Islamic law should be instantaneous, takes five attempts.

As for the halal rule that animals should never see the knife or witness others being killed, the footage, courtesy of Animal Aid, shows a man wearing a Muslim kufi skullcap regularly sharpening knives in front of the sheep. Due to the design of the slaughterhouse, the sheep typically see one of their buddies having its throat cut, bleeding on the floor, and being hoisted and shackled.

Is it a sin to eat pork, shellfish and fish w/o scales? There are a lot of conflicting views on this subject.

If God didn't want us to eat that stuff, he wouldn't have made them soo tasty.

Eat up folks.. your not going to hell for eating a clam or pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich.

Halal is an Arabic word that means permissible. In terms of food, it means food that is permissible according to Islamic law. For a meat to be certified halal, it cannot be a forbidden cut (such as meat from hindquarters) or taken from a forbidden animal (such as pork.)

Rather then having a bunch of very conjectured versions of what some people think, or have fabricated about what constitutes being Halal Food...

I think is better to just read from the only authentic source... Namely, the Quran.

It needs to be said that an animal that is fit for consumption needs to be bled-out, but there aren't any absolute one-means by which this process can be done.

For example, when One is hunting, you don't always get to place, or shoot, an arrow or a spear or a bullet where it's absolutely preferred.

So, likewise, there is no rigid rules as to how an animal must bleed to death, either.

Please read from the Quran...

(Surah 5: 3-5)

(Surah 6: 116-121)

(Surah 6: 145-146)

(Surah 16: 115-118)

******************************************************************************************************************************************

Basically, with the above mentioned verses NOBODY has an excuse not-to-know what every Muslim should know.

(Also, No Infamous Stories Need To Be Fabricated)

Human Beings are still a completely different species from all other animals including Apes and Monkeys.

In fact... Each of all of the different varieties of Apes and Monkeys are different species one-to-the-next as well, for the most part.

Say Moe... Do YOU know the definition of the word, 'Ape' ?

(It's Actually A Verb) spock

With regards the question of the original thread...

For the record, most Apes and Monkeys are omnivorous, and therefor not fit to eat either.

People who are into eating Apes and Monkeys often class this as 'Bush Meat' and it has also been a source for the advancement of Ebola.
