circumcision has its advantages. I made a wallet out of the skin... when I rub it , it grows into a suitcase

noway laugh really?!?

Well, coming from a country where circumcision is a right of passage for men... No issues here...

First time I saw an uncircumcised adult male was during internship... I was like... "Huh?" what (he was a 60+ year old Caucasian who just had a stroke)... My supervisor had to explain it to me... embarassed

Thank goodness it was explained to us in class before we were licensed and thrown onto the floors. lol, I remember the first time too Pansy. I was kinda scared. rofl

devil dog has rubbed a worry hole in his suitcase.

I wasnt scared... A little weirded out that time, tho...I learned the difference between a snake and cobra..

Completely different story now..lolz...especially during the summertime...when most circumcisions happen here...haha..

Devildog might be on to something...

the decision to make for someone else?

"oh yeah doctor just snip it right off, I'm sure he'll never miss it." What is that, mom and dad?

Penis foreskin.

Men? Ladies? What's your thoughts? I'm curious never having an uncircumcised lover before.

Never had an uncircumcised one either & never will. explode

You're kidding me? So every man in the States has had a circumcision???
I've never had sex with a man who had one. I can't believe you are pro mutilation of someone's body ..
Are you pro female circumcision as well? Just curious.

I'm against it 300%, unless there is a medical reason. It can reduce the ways a man can climax as it can/does damage the frenulum which is rather important when it cums to cumming.

I think it's wrong for parents to make such radical decisions for another human being.

Maybe read this:

The most important components of the physical erogenous stimulation of the penis during foreplay and intercourse are the sensations from the foreskin, frenulum/frenar band, and glans. These structures each have their own feeling, and each contributes in its own way to the man's total experience of lovemaking
.....
- The foreskin has an inner and outer layer. The outer foreskin layer contains nerve endings which respond to gentle touching during the early stages of sexual arousal. This helps to trigger an erection. The nerves of the inner and outer foreskin contribute to the experience of penile stimulation, up to and including orgasm. These receptors are stimulated by stretching, or when the foreskin rolls over the surface of the glans during intercourse or masturbation

- Stimulation of the frenulum and ridged band results in intense pleasurable feelings during arousal. The ridged band consists of a number of "ridges", described by Dr. John Taylor in his recent article. Sensations from these structures during intercourse or masturbation are thought to be the primary trigger of orgasm in the intact male.
.... Each ridge has Meissner's corpuscles, which respond to pressure, and they produce the sexual pleasure which no individual has a right to take away from another individual.

Following circumcision, the foreskin of the penis has been cut away. The surface of the glans has developed a thick, dry layer of keratin (toughened skin), which makes it less sensitive to unwanted stimulation, but also less sensitive to the more subtle qualities of lovemaking.

The surface of the glans has developed a thick, dry layer of keratin (toughened skin), which makes it less sensitive to unwanted stimulation, but also less sensitive to the more subtle qualities of lovemaking. This causes circumcised men to not using condoms, because that reduces sensitivity even further. This, and another factor, increase the risk of venereal diseases, including AIDS.

All circumcised men have an annular scar on the shaft of the penis. The location of the scar varies, from near the head to far down the shaft. For some men, so much skin has been removed that erection becomes difficult and even painful. This was one of the most common complaints reported by circumcised men

Full article to be found here: http://www.cirp.org/pages/anat/
By all means read the section on "Effects of penile reduction surgery (circumcision) on sexual intercourse".

As far as I'm concerned it should be forbidden by law, unless there is a medical reason.
NO ONE has the right to mutilate someone else's body

laugh Well I didn't want to get into ALL my reasoning... But
1- No not every American man has been circumcised.
2- It is Levitical Law (Judao- Christian) to be circumcised
3- I find uncirumcised penises hideous looking & replusive
4- Most men my age 55+ are circumcised in the USA
6- I'm totally against female circumcistion (removing the clitorus), which robs a girl/ woman of ANY climax. And it is NOT done as a sign of obedience to Jehovah. But rather because the belief is ' a woman/ wife will NEVER cheat, if she NEVER enjoyed sex in the first place).,

I knew I could count on Crystal for excellent info.

Yup, most men in the United states were circumcised beginning in the 60's there was a wave common practice here to baby boys, not just Jewish. Gee, I never asked my mom if dad was or not. lol, he was born in the 40's. I'm assuming he was. My brothers were. I did have my son done and the doctor did discourage it 15 years ago.

So Crystal, do you include the foreskin in your erotica scenes in your books? flowerforyou laugh

You're kidding me?? noway noway ... Unreal... Seriously can't believe that info. Sorry to say, but it appalls me that a government would go that far... Never heard from a 1st world country endorsing mutilation ohwell
But clarifies why you feel the way you do, you've never seen an intact normal man. Weird ...

And yes, in my books it is included in some scenes, quite logical, as men come with foreskins - pun intended.

My son has had a partial circumcision (don't know what you'd call that in English) for medical reasons. I wasn't happy about it, but we didn't have a choice. It always concerned me, as I know it does affect sexual pleasure and intercourse. But it's not like you ask your 17-20 year old son "Hey kid, does your knob work as it should?"
I just hope that if he ever did have problems, he would see a doctor.

And yes, I am TOTALLY against it! Unless there is a medical reason.

Religious reasons are the worst... How can you believe in God, praise the Lord, then mutilate His creation? Question his intention and reasoning for 'equipping' men with a foreskin? I find that rather hypocritical.

And I can understand you'd find it hideous. If you only ever saw people without a nose, because the government dictated everybody's nose had to be cut off, you'd find people with noses hideous as well.
Apart from that, I cannot understand how you can find anything about an intact, normal body hideous...

Everything in and on our bodies is there for a reason and should only be altered or removed for medical reasons. If someone chooses to alter their body once an adult, fair enough. Other than that...

I do agree with sassy... The practice of circumcision is God's covenant with His people.. I think to have boys circumcized by the first week of life...

Tho the practice we have here, boys usually have it done at ages 9-13... Mostly as just an outpatient procedure...local anesthesia, takes about 20-40mins.. Depending on skill...
Aside from...lol.. "part of being a man"...A lot of guys here do feel it is cleaner looking/easier to clean/more hygienic...

I suppose a lot of different cultures and religions have some form of bodily mutilation... Piercings, tatoos, neck lengthening... Etc...human sacrifice is probably on the farthest end of the spectrum... For reasons of beautification, rite of passage, sexual reasons, remembrance, worship...etc... No need to have medical reasons for them... Some religions actively reject these practices, and yet are also lambasted for it... I dont see why religion should be a scapegoat in this matter...

On a different note ...Baby girls have ears pierced...lol...I wonder if Angelina having preventive surgery is the way to go... Now that seems drastic...lol...but I digress...wouldnt want anyone riled up...flowerforyou

I wouldn't have my babies ears pierced either. My teenage daughter doesn't want hers pierced at all. If I'd had hers done, for whatever reason, I would have taken that choice from her.

Exactly... If theres no reason for one to feel strongly for or against it, then its a personal choice.. Otherwise, reasons due to culture and beliefs have their value too. :-)

See, even in this article though they state:
"Anti-circ activists are convinced that circumcision reduces sexual satisfaction. Until recently, it was difficult to study that claim because very few men were circumcised after becoming sexually active, making it almost impossible to determine the sensory effect of circumcision. But recent studies make it clear that sexual satisfaction is not affect by circumcision:"

Yes a personal choice for my daughter - the same as if my sons want to go and get circumcised (though I very much doubt it) then that would be their choice. That's different to a parent choosing for their child.

A friend of mine told me her dad had a circumcision in his 40's. He wished it had been done in infancy as the healing process as an adult was more unpleasant. Had lots of problems and the adult circumcision was the solution.

There are lots of women who need hysterectomies due to problems too. Doesn't mean it should be something you choose to do.

It was something he chose and was happy with the decision. I dont understand the point your making about hysterectomies. Any choice a person makes for betterment of health is something they should do, no?

Absolutely. I just don't believe that the health benefits for circumcision stack up. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Yeah, I was actually wondering about how they compared sensory stimulation of the circumcised vs the uncircimcised...along with the different styles of circumcision... I mean, how do you specify and narrow dowm sexual arousal as a function of just the frenulum? And is there a difference between early and late ejaculators?
Wouldnt the phenomenon of plasticity cause the brain to compensate for the lost receptors of the removed foreskin...? And if on a baby, synapses still undergo pruning until 2years old... The brain probably wouldnt even know that it had a foreskin..probably wouldnt miss it... Right? ohwell
Lots are known about female sexuality and dysfunction...not as much with men...?
